Caitlin went to Opal City as she found a place to stay thanks to Kara. It was only a small bedroom but it was better than nothing. Caitlin had a idea and she would assume a new identity. She looked up deceased women and found an Erin Anne Smith. Caitlin then made a birth certificate got a new social security card. She now has bangs and she is living in a area where no one knows her name. She was in her small room when she received a package "This is for you, sent from Kara" Caitlin was surprised and opened the package, inside was a letter from her mother.
Dear Caitlin
Yesterday 3 men came to threaten me if I helped you in anyway. This is when I knew something bad had happened and you desperately needed help. I'm sorry for not giving it to you when you approached me. I sent this to the diner you used to work at. If this reaches you and you need more then please contact me.

Caitlin then looked down at the envelope and saw a bunch of cash inside. She smiled as she flipped through all the money. She bought a house that was right outside the city, Ellie had room to play, it was near the school Ellie was going to and it was close to where Caitlin was working. Caitlin made a escape plan if she was ever caught and hoped for the best as she saw her daughter dribbling her basketball in the front yard.
They were setting up inside the house and Caitlin was helping Ellie organise her things. "Do we like it here?" Caitlin said
"Why? are we moving again?" Ellie asked
"No we are staying" Caitlin said
"Good because I am tired of moving" Ellie said
"Me too" Caitlin said "Look here's the deal you can call me Mum or you can call me Erin but not Caitlin"
"I never call you Caitlin" she said
"I know but just incase ok sweetheart" Caitlin said and kissed her daughter's temple.
Caitlin then went back to organising things when Ellie asked "Do I get a new name too?"
"If you want one?" Caitlin said
"I want to be Queen Elizabeth" Ellie said and Caitlin laughed
"Ok can you be Queen Elizabeth" Caitlin said and smiled
A few weeks later they were on a drive when Ellie said"I like talking to grandma but very Sunday do we have to drive 55 hours to get to some phone booth" while consuming a chocolate covered donut. "Can I call daddy this time?" She asked excitedly
"No!" Caitlin said firmly
"Please, please" Ellie pleaded
"Don't try and beg, I see through your tricks" Caitlin said. When they reached the phone booth Caitlin got on the phone with Jay's mother as usual and they began talking about what to do next.
"You know hw has friends in the police department, you are depriving him of his rights to be a father, nonsense like that. It's leading up to a big custody hearing" Charlotte was saying over the phone.
"What are you saying?" Caitlin asked getting frustrated
"You need to talk to him, calm him down. It will be good if Ellie talks to him" Charlotte explains "Plus you know it's not healthy to be without a father, you should know that"
After that Caitlin hung up the phone and looked at her daughter who was sitting on a step. She looked really sad and Caitlin knew that Charlotte was right. "Damn it" Caitlin said to herself and then said to Ellie "Hey Ellie, do you want to come talk to daddy?"
Ellie then looked up at Caitlin excitedly and she ran to the phone booth. "Hey daddy, where having a great vacation" Ellie chirped on the phone
"Yeah, Where?" Jay said matching her excitement
"We've been everywhere Chicago and..." Ellie was about to continue when Caitlin took the phone form her
"Look n questions or it ends now" She said and handed the phone back to Ellie
"Look, she's my daughter too so you don't tell me how I can talk to her" Jay said not realising Ellie had the phone "Just put my daughter on the phone"
"Look just tell daddy you love him and say goodbye" Caitlin whispered to Ellie
"You there Ellie?" Jay said sweetly over the phone
"Bye daddy" Ellie said in a sweet voice and gave the phone to Caitlin who put it on the phone stand. "I'm really sad" Ellie said to Caitlin who kneeled down to her height.
"I'm sorry sweetheart. it was my mistake." Caitlin said and tucked some hair behind her daughters ear. Caitlin then picked Ellie up and took her to the car.
Back in National City Jay was was at the police station where they traced the call. "So what do you think?" Jay asked
"She sounds the same" the man said has he swivelled around in his chair.
"That's good, if she's changed her appearance" Jay said
"I remember her from the diner scam" Julian said and walked up to the map and circled the area of where she could possibly be. "We did that scam so many times, why did you decide to marry her?"
"Maybe it's love" Jay said and Julian laughed
"I know what that means, you know if you were smart you'd forget her" Julian said
"I can't she kidnapped my kid" Jay said
"Technically she didn't, because she's the mother it's called parenting" Julian said and sighed into his chair
"How soon can you get there?" Jay said standing up
"I don't know I could lose my job for this" Julian said
"You could lose your job for a lot of reasons" Jay threatened
"I know some guys" Julian said
"Like your other guys who couldn't find her" Jay said "It's you"
Back in Opal City Caitlin was having dinner with Ellie and noticed that she was picking her food. "Is it ok?" Caitlin asks and Ellie didn't respond "It's ok right? It's not ok, it's horrible"
"It's not horrible, mum" Ellie said
"But it's not good" Caitlin said and got up from her seat. She turned away from her daughter and broke down.
"You know what I think" Ellie said and Caitlin faced her daughters "I think you miss daddy"
She sight disgustedly and said "You see daddy yells at mummy sweetie"
"Well you miss someone" Ellie said and Caitlin just thought about Barry, a stranger she had only known for a week.
