Caitlin called Barry and he went to Opal City for a few days to go check on them. He arrived on the boat and saw Caitlin and Ellie holding hands waiting for him. "Barry!" Ellie shouted excitedly and ran up to him
"Hi Ellie!" He exclaimed and she hugged him. Once Barry stepped away from Ellie he went to Caitlin and hugged her. "Hey" he said softly
"Hey" she said hugging him
"How you holding up?" He asks
"Not he best" she said
"Well then it is good that you called me. It's been weeks I got worried" Barry said and she nodded. What they didn't know is that Julian was there and saw them go with Barry. They all went to get some food and went to a spot along the cost where they had a beautiful view. Barry and Caitlin were eating burritos as Ellie was dribbling her basketball around. "She seems like she is doing great" Barry said
"Yeah" Caitlin said and smiled at Ellies happiness
"What about you?" He asked
"I'm coping" Caitlin said "and all that matter's is Ellie's safety"
"So with this whole custody thing, when is it?" Barry asked
"A couple months" Caitlin says
"You know that they favour the mother" Barry said and Caitlin nodded and let out a Shakey breath
"Yeah, but he has money and lawyers" Caitlin said
"Well you can't run forever Caitlin, I mean Erin" Barry teased and she laughed at it
"It sounds weird when you call me Erin" Caitlin said and smiled at him
"But I'm serious, you can't run forever" Barry said
"Why not?" I'm good at it" She said throwing away all the rubbish
"Yeah you are" Barry said "But you are pretty good at everything"
"Except cooking apparently" Caitlin said thinking about the other night and Barry saw the distress on her face
"I can teach you some stuff if you want" Barry said
"You can cook?" Caitlin asked
"Did the week we live together just slip your mind?" Barry said and she laughed
"Oh yeah, your pasta was really good" Caitlin said
"I'll make some for you guys today" he said and she smiles
"I think we would both love that" Caitlin accepted. They were looking at each other when Caitlin realised she couldn't hear the sound of the basketball. "I can't hear the sound of the basketball can you?" Barry shook his head and they looked around and couldn't see Ellie.
"Ellie!" Barry said
"Ellie! I mean queen" Caitlin called as she couldn't see her anywhere
"Mummy look at my new trick" Ellie said and bounced the basketball around herself.
Caitlin sighed in relief and said "I thought I told you to stay close? Come on"
Caitlin and Barry didn't know that Julian was following them and he taught Ellie her new trick. Back at their house Barry had made all of them pasta and they all stuffed themselves. After a while they all went to bed. It was the middle of the night when Barry went to go get a glass of water. Caitlin hadn't yet fallen asleep and heard footsteps and she was relived when she saw Barry sipping a glass of water. She put her hand on her head and took a few deep breaths. Barry looks into her room and toys not to scare here. "Hey" he said in a whisper
