Chapter 10. Party...

Paige's POV

Tonight Deanna is having a part for our arrival. I don't think it's necessary but whatever.

" Maggie do you have to work today?" I asked and and she looked at her schedule.

" Nope! I'm free!" She said and I smiled.

" Do you think that you and Glenn can take me on a run to get me something to wear to the party tonight?" I asked and she smiled.

" Sure. Go get ready and we'll go check out our weapons." She said and I nodded. I went upstairs and changed into some jeans, black tank top, and my combat boots. I put my long brown hair in a ponytail and walked out the door.

" Where are you going?" Carl asked as I opened the door.

" Me, Glenn and Maggie are going on a run to find something to wear to the party tonight." I said.

" We'll be safe." He said and gave me a hug.

" I'll be fine. Bye." I said and walked out the door. I ran to the wall opening to see Maggie and Glenn waiting for me.

" Here I got your katana and your hand gun." Maggie said and I nodded. I put my katana around my back and my gun in its holster. The door opened and we walked out. I got out my knife that I always keep in my boot and stabbed a walker in the head.

" So what kind of things are you looking for?" Glenn asked.

" You know, shirt, pants, and converse. The usual. " I said and magpie turned around.

" This is a party. You are going to wear something nice. Like a dress and heels." She said and I groaned.

" I'm not wearing heels! I'll wear flats." I told her and she laughed.

" Fine. Flats it is." I smiled and we kept walking.

Once we got into the town there was no walker surprisingly.

" What store do you want to go In?" Glenn asked as I looked at the mi i mall.

" JC Penny's" I said and he nodded. I got out my katana while he got the door opened. There was only a couple walkers but we took them out. I walked to he teen section of the store and to the dresses.

" How about this one?" Maggie asked and held up a pink one.

" No. I hate pink." I said and Glenn laughed.

" What bout this?" Glenn asked and held up a navy blue dress.

" Glenn your style skills might just be getting better." I said and he shrugged. I found the dressing room and it was almost pitch black. I got out my flash light and checked the stalls. Clear. I opened one and tried on the dress. It looked beautiful. I quickly took it off and changed. I stuffed the dress in a bag and walked out.

" Paige!" Maggie yelled and I started to run. They were holding the door with about 50 walkers behind it.

" Shit." I mumbled and ran to the door and pushed my back against it.

" Guys hold the door!" I yelled and ran to a manikin. I yanked the body part off to all that was left was the pole. I ran and stuck it through the door handles and they backed away. We turned around and started running through the store looking for another entrance.

" What now?!?" Glenn yelled and I had and idea.

" This way!" I yelled and started to run towards the dressing rooms. I went I tot he big stall and climbed on the chair.

" Paige what are you doing!" Glenn asked.

" This!" I said and the air vent snapped off the wall. The glass to the doors broke and the walkers were getting closer.
