TWENTY FOUR

For the next few hours, I sat silently listening to their discussion. It seemed as if they didn't care that I was listening in on their war plans. They were planning a brutal and horrifying massacre. My fists clenched on the hem of Klaus' shirt as I nervously bit my lower lip. What were they thinking? Why were they allowing me to hear this?

"Three units of twenty warriors will be stationed in front. Four units of fifty will be held in reserve until called upon. And four units of forty will spread out beyond our pack borders to strike from behind in order to have the advantage of surprise. When they realize, the fucking idiots will be circled and cowering in fear. One hundred will guard the land around our pack housing area, while fifty will be stationed inside to protect the women and children. The remaining 277 will be off duty and will await additional instructions if necessary. As person guards, we'll have five of our best with you and Nalu." Xeon husked confidently, pointing with a knife to different parts of the map on the desk. Valnush stood quietly on his side, closely watching him. Klaus leaned back in his chair fit for a king as he stared up at the ceiling with his eyes closed. I would kill to know what he was thinking, what sick thoughts this beasts were thinking?

He's extremely hard to read, I never really know where his head is at. I'm unable to understand him because he keeps this border up all the time, never expressing anything. He never opens up to me and suddenly he tells me his name as brings me to edge of pure exhilarating bliss. This had to be some sort of manipulation.

"Why do you look so sad Nalu? If it weren't for you helping us we wouldn't know for sure when they plan to attack. You've protected your pack like a true Luna." Valnush said as she gave me a tight lip smile.

Klaus leaned forward to pour himself another glass of whiskey. I've lost count of how many of them he downed. "It's ironic isn't it? That I would do such a thing, it seems a little odd." I said sarcastically as a glared at my mate.

His eyes landed on mine as he a shot me a small smirk before he swallowed ever drop in his cup.

Valnush looked confused as she stared at me before she quickly shook it off. "Well, I don't know if this is the best time to tell you but you've protected our people... as well as my pup." She smiled sweetly as her hand landed softly on her stomach.

My eyes widened as I turned my head to the side. "Y-you're p-pregnant?" I asked quickly as my eyes beamed into hers. She gave an eager nod as her face lit up.

"OMG CONGRATULATIONS THAT IS WONDERFUL."I beamed at her as happiness swelled in my heart, I was so happy for her. I could tell from Klaus' lack of reaction that he already knew this information.

"H-how far along are you?"

"The pack doctor said I'm about five weeks along, so at most six months until he or she is here."

"When you decide to get wasted, keep my female out of it next time." Xeon hissed as he shot me a glare before focusing on the map again.

"Oh hush, neither of us knew at the time." Valnush slapped his back playfully before sending me a soft smile.

"We'll continue preparations tomorrow, you two leave." Klaus said abruptly as he sat up straight in his chair.

Valnush said goodbye to me as Xeon give a Klaus a nod before wrapping his arm around Valnush's waist and leading her out the room. I sat still as their voices faded away.

"So...?" I said awkwardly as my eyes darted around the room. I was still wearing his shirt sitting across the room on the couch. "Are we going to talk about how I lied but somehow you knew or..... are we just going to pretend like it didn't happen?" I rambled quickly out of nervousness.
