"No, that's enough. Thank you so much for the offer." I said to the smiling lady, she held out another piece of meat that was drenched in a delicious red sauce towards my face, but I was truly too full. I had spent the entirety of last couple days laying in that room while various doctors and nurses monitored me.
I was fine, the males bite was obviously lethal to everyone. Even me ironically, his own mate. They told me to take it easy and not to over exert myself. I hadn't planned too until Valnush had barged in and made me get ready for lunch.
She had told me that the Northern women had really wanted to meet me so after much arguing, I agreed. Though I was extremely nervous, to my surprise they were warm and welcoming.
Completely different from the few times I met them before, like on the day the Alpha had returned from the South. Back then, I was no one of importance to them they gave me mean looks or avoided me.
I couldn't tell if it was genuine, I know people from the North are uptight and closed off to outsiders but seeing their change of heart towards me made me wary of them even more!
The woman had given me so many gifts and treats to eat to the point that I questioned if I could eat all the food or wear all the clothing they gifted me.
My eyes darted to the small woman who held a small pup in her arms. The pup looked at me through her thick lashes before giving me a toothless grin. I gushed in response as she reached out towards me, immediately I lifted her into my arms as I held her close. I love children, they warm my heart beyond belief.
"How precious, hopefully I can have a pup as precious as you one day." I cooed as I ran my finger over her plump cheek.
"Naluna! Naluna!" Before I could turn to see who was yelling out a small redhead by the name of Fay crashed into my side as her arms wrapped around me.
"Fay! How are you?" I greeted as I smiled down at the little girl, I had remembered that the Alpha had said I wouldn't see her again, that bastard was wrong!
Or he had just wanted to be mean, to rub more salt in my wounds. "Good. Isn't Naluna such a good name, it fits so well. Get it, Na-lu-na." She laughed as she let go of me.
"Yes it's very clever." I confirmed as I handed the pup in my arms back to her mother.
"Also the letters of your name spell Luna if you scramble them."
"Fay." A man yelled out, all the woman including myself jumped slightly at the harsh tone. My eyes landed on a big burly red headed man, a cold shiver went down my spine as I recalled where I had seen him before.
He was one of Alpha Dom's men; as well as Fay's father. "I have to go Luna." Fay said sadly as she took a step towards the man waiting for her near the trees.
Dread filled me at the thought of her being dragged away by her mean father. "Garon, I think Fay should stay and play with the children." Valnush scent washed over me as appeared next to me.
Valnush tone was full of authority and was meant as a command even though she had worded it like it wasn't. Garon's face twisted in anger as he glared at the Beta female, growling threateningly. Before he could say anything someone else had spoke.
"Garon, take your daughter and go." Xeon growled back as he stepped in front of Valnush. I hadn't noticed Xeon's presence before hand. His eyes began to glow yellow as he watched the sulking Fay scurry over to her father before walking off into the forest.
An awkward silence had fell upon us all. I didn't even know what to say, though I felt like I should've said something. Xeon pulled Valnush to his side before his eyes landed on me.
