Blood Umbra: Sonata of Somber

Vierick: part 1

Intro:

Kolro's pov:

After I dropped the couple off in a safe area, we saw firefighter trucks and police cars showing up and surrounding the county fair.

Syd: I think that's everyone.

David: And I think all the monsters are dead or retreated to whatever they came from.

Kolro: ok, now we need to regroup with-

Then we all heard a loud impact from within the state fair.

David: Shit! Can that be them?!

Kolro: must be. Let's go!

As we got to the location where the sound had come from. I heard a faint heartbeat with my senses. I then look at the Rubble beside us. I then walked over and removed the rubble only to find Samantha, severely wounded to the point where regeneration would not be fast enough, and she was barely alive.

Kolro: Samantha!

I immediately picked her off the ground and carried her to an area next to us that wasn't destroyed. I then laid her down while Syd and David were devastated as I am to see our friend in this condition.

Syd: no, no, no!

David: Samantha, come on, hang in there!

Samantha began to breathe slowly.

Kolro: No! I refuse to let any of you die on my watch!

My throat tightened with every second.

David: No, please stay with us!

I started to remember how everyone I was close to died. My parents, the people who took me in, my allies, and now my friends?

Syd: come on, Samantha! Please, you're strong than this!

As I was about to give up hope until I remembered the time I gave my blood to someone who was severely wounded.

Kolro: please let this work like last time!

I then bit into my hand and squeezed every drop of blood into her mouth. By the time I poured it in, she had stopped breathing, and I felt her pulse was already gone. Tears began to roll down my face, knowing that I had failed to save Her. David then pulled me up to face him.

David: Kolro! She's going to be alright. She is just recovering.

I then look at him with a disheartening look. I try to speak, but my throat is gutted to the where I can only mutter two words

Kolro: I'm sorry...

Syd then began to cry, and David gave him a comforting hug to cry on. Tears started to form on David's face.

Syd: Why!!!

We were all grieving until I started to hear a pulse again, but it was much faster. I could even hear breathing. I then looked up to see Samantha's wounds were fully healed, and she started to open her eyes up a bit.
