If you were drinking something, you most definitely would've ended up spitting it out. Terushima was talking crazy. Where was this sudden thought coming from you wondered. He had to be joking.

"Where did that come from?"

"Huh?"

"Did you hit your head that hard? Do you need me to take you back to the hospital?"

"I'm dead serious. Let's get back together."

You laugh. "No."

"Why not?"

"I'm not gonna get back with you simply because I'm having your baby."

"You think that's my reason for asking you?"

"What other reason would there be Yūji? You haven't even been out of your relationship a week yet. If that's why you left her, it wasn't worth it."

"I've been wanting to end things with her for a while. I just didn't know how to do it."

"Did your sister put you up to this?"

"Hanako? No she didn't. Why?"

"Never mind... Look, it's late, and I think we're both tired so I'm gonna head to my room, 'kay?"

"Why don't you believe me?"

You sigh. "Good night Yūji." You leave the living room and close your bedroom door behind you.

This dude is fucking crazy...

You'd be lying if you said you never thought of getting back with him. This was what you had wanted right? But even if you did get back together, who's to say it would work out this time?

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 24

Every day for the next four days, he'd ask you the same question. You gave him the same answer each time but for some reason, he couldn't take a hint. You would've thought only children weren't unable to understand the word no, but it made sense as he acted like a kid in an adult's body.

"Oh my gosh", you groan. "You are so goddamn persistent and annoying."

"So people say."

"My answer is still no. I won't change my mind about this. And you should stop trying to."

"Okay. I'll just ask again tomorrow."

"Please don't. It's getting irritating."

"Then just say yes and I won't bother you again."

"Are you trying to coerce me into saying yes?", you ask.

"Is it working?"

"No. Keep this up and I might have to file a harassment claim... But... If I say I'll think about it, will you leave me alone?"
