Chapter 21: The Past

Seokjin p.o.v:
We walked onto a square where I saw Kai with his band of thieves laughing with each other. I raised my hands and shot fire at them as  warning. Kai looked up and gave me a small smile when he noticed me. "Well Well." Kai claps his hands "Prison did you good, you look even more handsome than you did before."
I smirk back at him "I can't say the same about you."
"Let's just say that getting to know you was my biggest mistake in life." Kai cracks his knuckles.
I laugh "Weren't you the one who approached me and tricked me into loving you."
"Did I?" 
"You know damn well you did you lying bastard." I grit my teeth "You shared my bed and owned my heart and yet you betrayed me and for what? To escape living as a firenation trash ?." Kai his face paled "You planted evidence in my room that would tie me to my father murder and got immunity for accidently killing my sister."  I saw the others look at me in shock, since I was basically revealing my whole history with Kai. "You let me, the person you said you loved be send to prison for a crime I didn't commit. Haven't you hurted me enough." I now started to yell at him "Do you know how hard is was for me to be in love with the person who took away the life of my dear sister."
"It was an accident." Kai shouts back "I never meant to kill her, we were training together when she died because of my fire. I hated myself for killing her, for hurting you but I didn't want to go to be punished for an accident." he took a deep breath." When you uncle proposed this deal to me, I took it without thinking of anyone else."
"Clearly." I hiss.
"I am sorry Seokjin." He looks down.
"Did you ever love me?" I ask and I felt Namjoon place a reassuring hand on my shoulder
"I thought I did." He replies "But when everything happend it was so easy to let you take the fall, if I truly loved you, I wouldn't have betrayed you."
I let out a deep breath as his words stabbed my heart. Finally I heard the truth out loud from his own mouth, knowing that I Had been right all along. "I knew it." I smile sadly "And I can forgive you if you release my friend."
"Why are you even travelling with an earthbender?" Kai asks doubt clouding his eyes as he tried to figure out if he should release Jungkook. 
"Because I am the Avatar." Namjoon says firm "And you just took my earthbending teacher."
"Why should I believe you?" He asks weary of Namjoon.
Namjoon shruggs bending water at him before raising the ground "Do you believe me now?"
Kai fell to the ground on his knees "I am so sorry forgive me."
"I am not the one you should aplogize to." Namjoon replies angry pointing at me with his head.
Kai his eyes were filled with tears "I am sorry Seokjin."
"I forgive you just this once" I reply "But if you ever come near me or my friends again, I will end you, Now bring us to Jungkook."

Kai brought us to the place where Namjoon found the hatch in the ground but when we reached the scene, I noticed Hoseok firebending. My mouth fell open in shock since Hoseok never wanted to bend again. When his flames dissapeared he fell down crying. I ran over to him hugging him tight "You did good." Hoseok let himself fall in my arms and I held him as he cried "I am proud of you for facing your fears." I whipser in his ear.
"Stop let them go." Kai yells at his men who were about to attacked us. 
"Hyung." Jimin his painful scream cut through the air as he called for Namjoon "Jungkook his pulse, I lost it." Then he started to do compressions while Taehyung gave him mouth to mouth in order to save him. I looked at Jungkook worried and Hoseok still sobbing in my arms. "I need water." Jimin screams making Yoongi go running to get some water.
"Use this." Kai suddenly says giving Jimin the necklace he was wearing.
