Sofia
I couldn't stand sitting in this room a minute longer. It couldn't hurt to just take a lap on the floor right? I knew my way around and as long as I stayed close by what was the problem? My moms probably wouldn't be off work for another few hours and this way I could at least get some steps in. I started off just walking around the floor I was already on but soon got bored, I did always check the hallways so I wouldn't run into somebody I knew or worse, my moms. After a while however my body started to show that I hadn't eaten anything in a while. I started getting a bit light headed. Maybe I should get myself something to drink, that would make this better right? Happy with my decision I looked through my pockets and found a five dollar bill in one of them. So I would quickly change the floors, and get me a diet coke, I knew they had them in the attending lounge, but I felt like it was still a good enough excuse for me wandering around the hospital. I took the stairs down to the first floor and made my way to one of the vending machines, where I got myself a diet coke.
I had just inserted my money when I heard a familiar voice and immediately felt the adrenaline rushing through my body. "I know I shouldn't but I feel like I don't even know her anymore, that yesterday caught me so much by surprise, I mean what else is she up to?". It was Mama and I was sure she was talking about me. "I know, but snooping through her phone ? Really? Do you think that will make her trust you more?", Meredith. They must be standing around the corner, I knew I should probably make a run for it but this was too interesting. Did she seriously go through my phone? But how? I turned it off and had a code on it. "I know but she doesn't need to know, I don't even know her password so I probably wouldn't get far anyways." "Callie, you haven't even talked to her, just do that first and don't check the phone, you wouldn't want to break her trust like that would you?". Oh the fact that she was even considering this made my blood boil. I mean I didn't turn the phone off for nothing, it was to be expected, but I was still hearing her talk about it. "No I don't want to do that to her, you're right I shouldn't do anything before we talked anyway." She paused. "I guess I will go check on her, maybe she wants to eat something now." Damn. I quickly ran away to the staircase, I needed to beat her to it. I reached the floor and left the staircase, speed walking through the halls before I quickly pulled open the door catching my breath.
"Oh look, the fugitive came back." I jumped in shock. I wasn't expecting somebody to be in here. Alex and Amelia were sitting on the couch where I had sat before. They both had their feet up and Alex was eating some chips grinning. I exhaled in relief and rolled my eyes at them. Seriously, what was it with my timing today? "I was just getting a drink.", I said, showing off my coke and taking a seat at the round table , happy that I was here before Mama was. "Ah I see because we don't have any in here.", Alex said sarcastically. "By the way, Shepherd told me, they were totally right to bring you along, idiot.". I looked at her in anger. "Wow seriously? I don't even know you and you go around telling everyone shit about me? Who do you think you are?" "Dude chill, your Mom didn't want to spill and when you weren't in here Shepherd was worried and told me, I knew you'd be back. You're a good kid." "Why would you be worried, that's cap I'm not a fucking junkie." "Language kiddo! What's going on with you, Robbins didn't tell me you've gone rogue." "Seriously Alex?. I have messed up this one time and they are acting like that, you can stop it, I don't need everyone going crazy on me..", I didn't get further as the door was opened and there was Mama. "Hey! I missed you at lunch!", she was suspiciously nice, it was so obvious but I tried playing along. "Hi.", I said, giving a side eye to Alex and Amelia. "Oh hey, what's up with you two?", Mama asked and they both got up. "Oh you know just entertaining Sofia.", off they were and I looked back at Mama who sat down at the table with me now. "Aren't you hungry? We could go down and get you a Muffin or something?", she asked. "No I'm fine. You don't have to check on me all the time, I'm good and I won't leave or do something stupid you know?" "I know I just wanted to see how you are. I have to round on my post-op's and then I will come get you and we'll talk okay?" I nodded. „Yeah sure whatever." "Sofia, don't be like that." "Be like what?" "You know what I mean. If someone has the right to be pissed it's us." I shrugged and stayed silent. I didn't want to cause trouble yet. I was in for enough later. Mama got up. "See you in a bit."
