03 | in which

IN WHICH,
there is bullying and thoughts.

T/W: Bullying, abuse.

Classes include
                               learning stuff,
                               getting glares for typing on my very loud typewriter
                               — a "physical inability perk",
                               pansy parkinson bullying me.

And the teachers
ignoring it.

Leaving the classroom,
I found myself
Being pushed into a bathroom
Along the hallway.

She kicked me,
Screaming names at me
In sign language
So I can understand.

Bruises blossomed along
My arm —
Blue and purple flowers,
Born from punches.

I curl into a ball,
Shielding myself
From Parkinson,
as if,
This wasn't an 
everyday matter.

I stopped moving,
Trying to trick her into
Thinking I was unconscious,
Or dead,
Whichever one she preferred.

Suddenly,
someone stormed into
the bathroom,
light footsteps;
quick footsteps.

Then there was the sound
of someone falling onto the 
floor, and,
some lips moving.

"Don't you dare
touch her again,
Parkinson," the lips said.

And then Parkinson's arms 
came up, and pushed him back,
she stood up,
kicked him,
scoffed at him,
and walked away.

There were two 
silver eyes after that,
and some pale red skin.

And some tousled
white-blonde hair.

He stood up,
brushed the dust off
like it was nothing,
and bent down beside me.

His touch was as soft
as feathers —
comforting as nothing else
in this world
or life.

He grabbed the notebook beside me,
'Hey, are you okay?'

I nod,
"I'm fine."

He stares at me 
for a moment,
before getting up and
walking away.

And the world was
mute and silent once more.

But for a moment 
back there
I heard something,
Fluttery and soft —
my heart beating
ten times faster than it should.
