The Vetter planetarium was located on the northeastern coast of the city. It is one of the city's oldest buildings, having been constructed over 60 years ago. It also serves as an observatory for astronomers but is open daily for public use. But because the road that leads to it is primarily wooden and rough, it does not receive many visitors, which led to the decision to make admission free. In recent years, however, it has been mostly vacant.

"Hang on, the road is gonna get a little bumpy from here," announced Vanessa as the car carrying the four of them turned onto a dirt road. Vanessa and Jorgia sat in the front seat while Lucas and Elijah were in the back. The car, despite being free, was anything but modern. It was a silver station wagon with a dark blue interior. Parts of the car jangled as they drove across the dirt road.

"So, how much farther until we get there?" asked Jorgia.

"Well, it shouldn't be more than another 10 to 15 minutes. I'm surprised this road was open. It doesn't seem very safe for people to take, though," answered Lucas.

"I've never been to a planetarium before, but from the name, I'm guessing they have... planets?" asked Elijah as he looked out the window at the passing trees.

"Yeah, dude, they have a bunch of space stuff like dioramas and models of moons and stars. Hehe, it's filled with balls," snickered Jorgia, and soon after her, Lucas.

"Hey Jorgia, how big are they?" asked Lucas, trying to hold back his laughter.

"Oh, the balls? They'll be huge!" answered a laughing Jorgia.

"Ugh... so immature," Vanessa thought to herself. In her left mirror, she saw a motorcycle approaching the car from behind.

"Looks like someone else is going there too. I'll just let them pass us since they're starting to catch up."

She stuck her arm out the car window, signaling the motorcycle to pass. It began to speed up and followed the car closely behind. It sped up even more and was side by side with Vanessa's window, matching the car's speed.

"What the hell is this guy's problem?" asked Jorgia. The face of the driver couldn't be seen despite him staring at them through her window. Suddenly, the car's left mirror began to expand like a balloon, and it didn't crack or fracture; it simply began to quickly bloat in size.

"What the hell-" was all Vanessa was able to say as the ballooned mirror popped, sending shards of the mirror and its frame everywhere.

*POP!*

"What the hell was that!?!" screamed Jorgia. The sudden burst had caused Vanessa to lose control of the vehicle, causing it to swerve down the road. The motorcycle driver then tossed the shards of the mirror at the car door, and with a loud "pop," they rapidly expanded, loosening the door's hinges.

*POP!*

"It's an enemy!"

"He must be after us!" shouted Lucas over the loud noise of the car.

"Vanessa, watch out!" cried Jorgia as she grabbed the wheel in an attempt to help steer away from the motorcycle. Vanessa slammed on the gas pedal as she tried to get away. Her car door had begun to violently rattle as if it was going to fall off. The motorcycle driver maintained his speed and steadily stayed with the car, making sure not to be hit by it. He then threw another shard of debris at the front left tire and burst it, causing the wheel to nearly go out.

"Shit! Shit! Shit!" shouted Vanessa as the car veered down a split in the road, destroying warning tape in the process.

"The bridge is out!" shouted Lucas.
