Edit 1: A few grammatical errors

Please excuse me if there are any inconsistencies. I did not have much time to proofread everything...

The whole class went by with me glimpsing at her every now and then. I barely listened to what the teacher was teaching. I was too absorbed in my own thoughts...

I made my way to the cafeteria as soon as the bell rang, where I saw her huddle up with a group of friends. There was another guy there, too. I wanted so badly to just come up to him and tell him never to touch her again, but I thought better of it.

I went and had lunch with my pack, us discussing what happened in the day. We all kept quiet about the whole "mate" situation, considering that Leah and Matthew hadn't found their mates yet, and they were older than me! I sulked in my seat thinking of her. Daniella Saunders... Saunders... I knew I had heard that name before, but where?!

I shook off those thoughts in my mind when Matthew talked with us about a more important situation:  Hunters had been spotted around the area. Not just any hunters, Vampires. Our natural enemies. I gritted my teeth when I smelled that quaint smell again. Now, I was sure what it was. It was the stink of a Vampire! So, if I smelled that stench around Daniella, was that guy next to her a vampire?! If I dared make a move, she and I could both be in danger! Not to mention the discovery of the whole pack!

I racked my brain trying to think of what I could do! My mind seemed to be empty, while my wolf whimpered thinking of what could happen if the vampires found our pack! It whined thinking of it's mate dying! What was I supposed to do?!

Daniella POV

It was a day like any other. I rushed out of my house, towards Meadows University, after all of my chores were done. I had packed my bag with books I needed today, and was just so excited for the first day!

I was looking for my locker, but I forgot to look ahead, when I bumped into something, Or, as it so happened, someone. I dropped to the ground, helping my stuff back into the bag. I looked up, seeing a man, in his 19s at least, I saw a whole story in his deep brown eyes: A wolf howling at the moon in pleasure. Just then, I smelled something AWFUL! It smelled like wet dog, whatever it was. I saw him scrunch up his nose, too. But I couldn't bear the smell, myself. So, I walked away.

I was sitting in class, and, much to my delight, the guy I bumped into earlier today was there, too! I tried paying attention to class, but I couldn't! He kept glancing at me, but I refrained from looking at him, even though he looked really good...

stop thinking that! I told myself, shaking those thoughts out of my head. Although, something kept bugging me. That smell... it was awfully familiar... It did stink, but where did I know it from?

I racked my brain trying to remember, when it hit me: That was the stink of a werewolf! had that guy come across a werewolf or something? I was going to tell my adopted brother about it, but not right now. After lunch, perhaps.

Darra, who was about 2 years older to me, treated my like a frail little girl! But I was anything but that! He was always overprotective of me! He was blonde and pale - skinned. He had blue eyes, which were normally very welcoming, but he was someone whose bad side you did NOT want to get on.

When the bell rang, I dashed into the cafeteria with Darra. We got our lunches and sat down. I was itching to tell him about the incident, but it looked like he already knew. He asked me about it, and I explained how I smelled werewolf. He told me not to worry, as he had taken precautions making sure that they wouldn't bother us anytime soon. He had stationed some people in the city to ensure no one was harmed.

Again, I couldn't help but think of that guy... The wolf I saw howling inside his deep brown eyes... He looked amazing... Well-built, caramel skin tone, sharp jawline... Stop thinking!!! I had to scold myself again, as I shook those thoughts, once again, out of my head.
