Daniella POV

We played 20 questions while roasting marshmallows. This was something new. I haven't been anywhere near a campfire in a long time. It was warm, as expected, but there was something else about this campfire that felt good. I couldn't really place my finger on what it was.

As we played, I learnt that Derrik's favorite color was Aqua Blue. He hates cheese, and loves eating grapes with butter (Weird combination, but apparently, it tastes good...). I also learnt that his favorite fast food place was McDonald's.

He learnt that my favorite color was Sky Blue, and that I hate grapes and berries. I love bananas and my favorite fast - food place was McDonald's too! I love watching movies in my spare time, and my favorite movie is Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.

We were interrupted by Darra, calling for me. "Danny! Hey, Danny!", He screamed. I followed the source of the sound with Derrik, to find my brother calling for me in the middle of the woods. It wasn't even time to get back home, I thought. It wasn't that late... "Hey, I'm here." I said, catching his attention.

"Where have you been?!" He questioned. "What are you talking about? I told you I'd be near the forest!" I shot at him. "Oh, right..." He said, in realization. Then, out of the blue, "Wait! Wait what? When did you tell me that? I have spent the last hour looking for you!" He said.

I was confused. "What are you talking about? Derrik came to our house to pick me up and we told you that we were going for a run near the forest!" I said. "Who is Derrik?! And what is that awful smell?!" He said. How the hell did he forget Derrik?! And that awful smell must be Derrik's scent. It smelled really good to me... Ah... How I wish I could bathe in that scent all day! I snapped those thoughts away.

"Darra... I think there is something wrong with you... Derrik here, is a werewolf, and we met in college about three weeks ago? Don't you remember?" I said, cautiously. "A werewolf?! yea right, and I'm sure I'm a vampire." He laughed. Oh no... This is bad... He didn't remember anything about Werewolves and Vampires. Fuck. "Darra... I hate to break it to you, but you and I are both vampires. That's why you are able to smell that 'awful' smell. Its coming from Derrik, who is a Werewolf. " I said, hoping he'd remember something.

His mouth gaped open like a blowfish, obviously out of sheer surprise. He was unable to process the information given to him at once. He scanned our faces, obviously looking for any signs that this is a trick, but we were dead serious. He realized this, and gulped. "S-So... Vampires... Exist? Werewolves d-do, too?" He stuttered. I sighed. "Yes, Darra. Don't be afraid, though. Our day will continue as usual, no difference at all. Don't worry." I said, comforting him.

"I'm sorry, Derrik. Maybe we should do this again another time? I really have to get him back home." I apologized. He gave me a comforting smile as I left with him asking question after question, which was awkward, to say the least. "Yeah. We should do it again sometime. You'll text me when you will be able to?" He asked. I nodded in response, a smile making its way on my face.

That was a confusing experience, to say the least.

I carried Darra's frozen-out-of-shock body back to the house. I laid him down on the couch. He must have been tired after having to process everything that just happened. I sighed, getting back up to my bed.

You'd think I'd have a better sleep after that conversation, after getting the answers I wanted, but something still felt missing. I wanted something more, I don't know what, but something for sure.

-------------------

I got up with a start. Darra must have messed something up. I made my way to the source of the sound, to see Darra, fallen on the floor, with the couch on top of him. This wasn't funny, but the sight sure was! I laughed so hard! You know the laugh which is so hard, no one can hear it? Yeah, that one. "Hey! It's not funny!" Darra said, offended.

"Sor - sorry.. Let me - Let me get you out of there", I laughed. I got him out of the situation, and he seemed to have really forgotten everything about vampires, werewolves and our powers! What happened to him?!

I got him to sit on the couch, controlling his speed and strength. He was not gonna get the hang of this soon.

Since today was a Sunday, we can practice controlling our senses and strength. I got him to play catch with me. He'd run after me, running as fast as he could. I was always faster than him, so I used this to my advantage. I'd hide somewhere, and he'd try to get to me without alerting me. This helped him learn how to observe things like my scent leaving a trail or how to control his speed.

After a while, we both got tired, but not bored of the game, so this continued till around 10 am. We both came back inside, panting.

"Good game, sis.", said Darra.

"Thanks." I replied.

We both had breakfast and decided to watch a movie. I'm a Potterhead, so I suggested we watch Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. Darra had watched it with me every single time, and got bored of it. After a long argument, we both settled for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

We were munching popcorn and watching. Now, we had come to the part where Newt gets the Occamy back inside his case. This scene was one of my favorites! I was watching keenly, but then noticed a snore coming from somewhere. I turned to see Darra asleep! I decided to leave him be, and continue the movie. No one interrupts me during a movie. No one.

Just when I thought all was well in paradise, I heard the doorbell ring. I groaned, getting up and opening the door. I was greeted by none other than Derrik Wolfe. "Oh! Derrik! I did not expect to see you here on a Sunday!"

"Y-yeah... I just wondered if you wanted to... hang out?" He asked, stuttering. This was not normal. I nodded, inviting him in. I wasn't expecting visitors, so I was just wearing a purple top with comfortable shorts, just reaching mid-thigh. "I would have worn something more... appropriate if you would have told me beforehand, you know..." I said. "Umm... I don't really mind, I just came here hoping you wouldn't mind... doing something with me..." He replied, unsure of himself.

Well, this Sunday just got a whole lot more interesting.
