(No One's P.O.V.)
The scene opens up to Caleb and Mark standing at a locker. Mark has his sword sheathed on the right side of his waist.
Mark: First night wasn't that bad. Slept pretty well. Now I'm ready for this!
Caleb: Seems like it.
Caleb opens up the locker and takes his staff out of it, closing it.
Mark: Well, how could you not be excited? We're about to do the initiation to get into Beacon Academy. Become actual students.
Caleb: I know. And I'm not saying I'm not excited. It's just that this initiation isn't going to be easy. We can't just focus on the excitement. We also need to be prepared for whatever comes our way. Ozpin could have us doing anything.
Mark: You have a point. But still. What do you think we're going to have to do?
Caleb: No idea.
That's when Yang's voice can be heard coming up behind them.
Yang: Hey! We were looking for you two!
They turn around to see Yang and Ruby standing there.
Caleb: We were where everyone else was going. Why are you just finding us now?
Yang: Well, your lockers weren't exactly close to ours, and there were quite a few students going around. Wasn't easy to get an eye on you two at first. But we're here now!
Mark: How'd you sleep last night?
Yang: Pretty well. What about yourself?
Mark: Very well. I was out like a light. It was so good.
Yang: Sounds great.
Ruby clears her throat.
Ruby: I have a question. What do you think about the rumors of being sorted into teams?
Caleb goes to speak but gets interrupted by Ruby.
Ruby: Follow up question! What do you think about Yang not wanting to be on the same team as me?
Caleb looks confused for a few seconds before responding.
Caleb: Is that really a question?
Ruby: Yes! Because she said she wouldn't be on the same team as me!
Yang: No, no, no. I only said you should branch out of your comfort zone. Everyone needs to do it eventually. It's not a bad thing.
Ruby: Sounds like you don't want to be on my team to me.
Yang: Of course I wouldn't mind being on a team with you. I think it just might be nice to meet new people.
Ruby: I already have! I met them!
She gestures to Caleb and Mark with her hand.
Yang: I'll give you that. But two people is just a start. I'm talking about getting more friends.
Ruby: I don't need more friends. I have you three. We could be a team.
Yang: Let's ask them.
Ruby: I agree.
The two girls turn to look at the two boys.
Ruby: What do you think?
Caleb and Mark are speechless at first as they glance at each other for a quick second before looking back at the two girls.
Caleb: Well, it's always great to meet new people. But I also don't think it's wrong to want to be on the same team as people you already know. I wouldn't mind being on your team, Ruby.
