Chapter 7- Heir

(No One's P.O.V.)

The scene opens up with Paige standing up from the bed as a blue flame flickers in her hand. She exits the room. 

The scene then switches down to Jay. He's in the kitchen with a sandwich sitting on the counter and he's currently pouring a glass of water. 

Paige then comes walking in behind him and he glances back at her before returning his attention to the glass of water, 

Jay: You didn't have to get out of bed. I was just about to bring them up to you. 

Paige cocks her head, narrowing her eyes at him as blue fire begins trailing around her right hand. Her eyes begin glowing purple as Jay perks his head up. Jay turns around to see Paige in her current state. 

Jay: Fight it, Paige. This is just the voice, it's not you. 

Paige: It's perfectly who I am now. My eyes were open to what's really important. The power that belongs to him. 

Jay: Him? Who's him?

Paige: The person that will help usher in a new age of power and control. 

Jay: You don't actually believe that. That's him talking. 

Paige: Keep thinking that. There's not a single thought in this head that isn't mine. 

Jay's eyes then begin coursing with fire. 

Jay: That's not going to work on me. I'm able to see through you. You're not my wife. 

Paige sighs before speaking. 

Paige: Fine. I'm not entirely your wife. Part of it is me trying to act like her. Which I'm bound to get better at with time. 

Jay: Not happening. I'm going to expel you from my wife. 

Paige lets out a laugh. 

Paige: That's real funny. You think that your power alone could override mine in any capacity. 

Jay narrows his eyes at her. 

Paige: Don't get me wrong, you are very strong. But beating me is going to take far more than just yourself. 

Jay: What do you mean? 

Paige: What does it sound like? There's no way you're going to walk out of this alive. And then when I'm done with you, I'll deal with both of your children. 

Jay: You may kill me but you won't kill them. I have faith that they'll find a way to beat you. 

Paige: That's sweet. Too bad they won't make it that far. 

Paige lifts her hand up right before firing a blue fire blast at Jay, which he responds by thrusting his hand out to catch the fire, reeling it back before thrusting it back out toward Paige. Paige quickly hops out of the way, allowing the fire blast to strike the wall, sparking a fire that doesn't spread. Paige turns to look at it before looking back at Jay with a smile as she prepares for another attack. 

The scene then cuts to Caleb in his bedroom. He wakes up to the sounds of fire and things crashing. Caleb quickly jumps out of bed and rushes out f his bedroom, meeting Kelly in the hallway, who also came rushing out of her bedroom. 

Kelly: What's going on? 

Caleb: No idea. Stay behind me. 

The two then go walking down the stairs, coming to the scene of Jay flying across the living room, slamming into the wall before falling to the floor. 

Caleb: Dad! 

Jay: Stay back! 

Both Caleb and Kelly look to see Paige walking out of the kitchen. Her eyes are glowing purple and there's blue fire trailing around her right hand. She looks over at Caleb and Kelly.
