Inside of a room with Coco and Velvet laying in beds, the sun is shining in through the window while sounds are heard coming from outside.
Velvet rolls over as she rubs her eyes, sitting up. She glances out the window for a brief second before looking at Coco, letting out a sigh of relief.
Serena comes walking in with a tray of food and a drink, and Velvet looks at her as she comes over with it, handing it to her.
Serena: I figured you'd be hungry after what you just went through.
Velvet: Oh, thank you. Hunger is one of few things I'm feeling, yeah.
Velvet starts eating as the sounds outside persist.
Serena: I saw the damage done. The craters that were left behind. There's no question that it took a toll on everybody involved.
Velvet: Did... Did everybody else make it out?
Serena: I can only assume so. None of their bodies were present, thank everything.
Velvet breathes a sigh of relief.
Velvet: That's good to hear. It all happened so fast.
Serena: What exactly happened? Can you remember?
Velvet: Uh... Yeah, sort of. Bullheads came flying over us. They dropped bombs and Grimm. It was all just so overwhelming. Coco and I ended up taking the hit from one. I was lucky, but she ended up underneath some debris. I was too weak to pull her out.
She then looks over at Coco, still hearing the sounds outside.
Velvet: Is she okay?
Serena: She'll be fine. The damage sustained to her was great, but we've managed to heal her wounds. All she's doing now is allowing her body the proper time to rest. Just like you were.
She looks back at her.
Velvet: How long were we out?
Serena: Not too long. It's been a day so far.
Velvet: They'll be wondering where we are. For all we know, they might think Coco and I are dead.
She then gets hit by the realization.
Velvet: Now that I think about it, where are we?
Serena: A lot happened. Assumptions might've been made. But I can only imagine their excitement when they find out you're alive.
Serena then goes walking over to the window, looking out.
Serena: You're in a place that was once meant for peace. A place where people could come and share in their joy and experience of the Fire Lord. But now, with the very balance of the world threatened, it's turned into something else entirely.
She looks back at Velvet.
Serena: This is now a place used to fuel war. The Overlord wants powers that aren't his and will never belong to him. It would lead to global catastrophe if he were to get his way. And that's why we have decided to switch the very structure of our lives to assist the Fire Lord in this task. As we speak, hundreds are being trained in the art of combat and fire manipulation.
Velvet: I did pick up on that.
Serena comes walking back over to her.
Serena: They'll come back for us. All we have to do is wait.
Velvet nods at her.
Now in the round table room with Shane. He's staring at the pod on the table.
