"Jayce?"
Another knock.
"Jayce, are you in there?" a voice, clearly Mel's, (I'm sorry, she's just breathtaking) came floating through the door.
Jayce looked down at a still asleep Viktor, then back at the door. He weighed the options in his head. Wake up Viktor, or go talk to Mel, who was responsible for his project funding.
Choosing the obvious option, Jayce stayed perfectly still until Mel gave up and went looking fro him elsewhere.
"Do you know how important you are? Your sleep kept me from meeting Mel." he whispered, smiling. Viktor kept on sleeping obliviously.

Viktor stretched, sitting up, to see Jayce leaning against the headboard, grinning.
"How long have you been awake?" Viktor asked, his voice heavy with sleep.
Jayce shrugged. "Doesn't really matter. You got your sleep. That's all I care about."
Viktor flushed and leaned back against the headboard beside him.
Jayce stood and held a hand out to his partner.
"Ready to start the day, darling?"
"Please don't call me that in public."
"Really? I thought you liked the sound of it?"
"I didn't say I didn't."
"..."
"My love."
