Chapter 6

The elevator doors open to the large room that is Ozpin's office. As you look into it, you see Ozpin looking at something on his scroll, eyebrows furrowed and staring intently at whatever is on the screen.

Y/N: *cough*

The headmaster looks up from his scroll and his previously serious expression turned into its normal calmness. 

Ozpin: Ah, Hello Mr. L/N. I assume that this is the woman that you told me of that wanted to join Beacon?

You and Neo walk into the room and stop a few feet away from his desk.

Y/N: Yes it is. Ozpin, this is Neopolitan. She can't speak so she will be speaking through the speaker function on her scroll after typing what she would like to say.

Ozpin: I understand. Well, hello Neopolitan. I am sure Mr. L/N here has told you plenty about our school?

Neo: Yes sir. He has been very helpful in getting some things in my life figured out. I would very much like to come here full time in order to start a new chapter in my life, if you'll have me that is.

Ozpin: Well I am happy to hear that. So, what part of your past are you going to share first? The part where you are a supposedly ex-criminal that has been known to work with the notorious criminal, Roman Torchwick? Or the part where you are currently part of a team that is supposedly from Haven Academy as transfers, even though there is no record of a team by their name in any database, and are here to gather intel on me and Beacons weaknesses? How about the part where you were originally assigned by a Cinder Fall to get Mr. L/N here to join her cause? Or are you going to tell me something that I don't already know about?

You and Neo both stand there frozen after hearing this, and Neo looks up at you with a worried expression. Ozpin smiles and stands up from his chair.

Ozpin: Neopolitan, I have known about you and your "team" ever since you stepped foot on this academy's grounds. You in specific, I have known about for much longer. Being in league with Roman Torchwick tends to bring a bit more attention to you than normal. So, convince me as to why I shouldn't get security up here right now to have you arrested, as well as punish Mr. L/N for bringing a known criminal into my office, to then try and trick me into letting you join. I'm waiting.

Y/N: Sir, I know this looks bad, but please hear us out before doing anything rash.

His eyes immediately meet yours and he sends a glare towards you that makes your spine shiver.

Ozpin: That is exactly what I am doing right now. Besides, I was asking Neopolitan, not you. Neopolitan, please begin. Convince me.

Neo: You have every right to not trust me. I will freely admit that it looks bad on both me and Y/N to even be trying this right now. I have done plenty of bad things, but with everything that has happened in the past few months, I need a new start. A start where I don't have ties to my past associates. Whatever information you want on cinder and her team, I will freely give. But please leave Roman out of this. You have to understand that he was my only true friend from this chapter in my life, and he cared for me when nobody else would. He didn't treat me differently because of not being able to talk. He treated me as his partner, and I don't want to rat him out, just so that I can have a fresh start.

Ozpin: Don't worry. I'll be honest, there isn't a single thing you could tell me about Roman that I don't already know. You were last seen with him about two months ago, and anything we would need to know would need to be more recent than that. As for Cinder and her group, I would be open to hearing what you have on them.

Neo: I have only been working with Cinder for a short time now. But what I have gathered is that she isn't working on her own. There is most definitely someone over her that is sending out the orders. Cinder is the one that broke into the CCT Tower, and I believe she downloaded a virus onto the computer system, but I don't know what they virus does. I know she has also began working with Roman on some level, but I don't really know as to what as she doesn't tell em anything. I really only know this because I saw his contact in her scroll. As for her team, Mercury Black, the silver haired guy, was trained by an assassin before he got picked up by her. She plans on swapping him into the Vytal Festival tournament by rigging him against someone, but I don't know who. Emerald Sustrai, basically just a fangirl to Cinder, and is fiercely loyal to her, but the real thing you need to worry about is her semblance. She can alter what a person sees so that she can do whatever it is that she needs to do. Other than that, there isn't much else to note about them.
