Eventually catching up with the cat, momentarily losing it a few times, and persuading it to take the group to the tree in exchange for information, it finally seemed as though you all were making meaningful progress. In more ways than one, in your case. While Ruby and her teammates entertained the cat with answers for its relentless questions, you operated on autopilot. Mindlessly following Ruby while digging through your fractured and faded memories in search of any possible answer for why you were now hearing two voices in your mind. You recall the last time you heard the Grimm's voice in your mind. It said as much that it will always be with you, that it is never truly gone, but you have not heard its voice the entire time you've been in the Ever After. Maybe this is it? Maybe, when you fell through the void, something happened and its conscience split into its two halves. The more monstrous side, and the more human side, granting each their own independence within your mind and body. Remembering even further back, you remember your past conversations with the Grimm, it stating as much that while you've taken parts of it, it has also taken parts of you. Effectively making you more Grimm like, and it more human like. Perhaps that is what has indeed happened here?

Eventually you step across a bridge, leading into a new Acre, one that is dark and forested, with large glowing mushrooms and plenty more strange plants. The cat advises you all to not speak to anyone while on the acre without it present, a warning you feel is worth taking note of considering everything that has happened thus far. Continuing on through the forest, the cat continues to try your patience. Beginning to openly mock the plight of yours and RWBY's quest to rid the world of Remnant of Salem.

Cat: ....how many more relics does she need to end the world again? Heh, how are you even supposed to stop her now that Atlas is gone?

Y/N: Speak another slight against us, Cat, and you'll get a glimpse of exactly how I intend on stopping her. One. Tooth. At. A. Time.

Cat: Oh no, I am quaking in my non-existent boots. Trust me tall one, you are no more a threat to me than the worst of what roams these lands. Now come along, we must be on our way!

Looking behind you as you pass Ruby, who had begun to slow, you see her head fallen, sadness being her only emotion.

Yang: Uh, Rubes?

Ruby: I...

Blake: Maybe we shouldn't be worrying about home, right now? We've got enough problems to w-

Yang: The Cat!

Turning around quickly, you see that the cat has gone missing. No longer walking down the path.

Ruby: No! I wasn't paying attention! Where could they have gone now?

Little: Oh, they saw a bug!

Yang: And you didn't say anything?

Little: It was a very interesting bug?

Y/N: I suddenly feel less bothered about eating so many generations of your kind, mouse.

Weiss: Of all the characters from the book, why did it have to be the Cat? Why couldn't we have gotten help from the Lively Carpenter? Or the Rusted Knight? One was sweet, one was handsome, and neither of them had the attention span of a Gold Fish!

Little: I bet you could find a Gold Fish in one of these ponds.

Y/N: Yep. Definitely not bothered anymore.

You begin hearing a low humming, coming from the forest around you. Immediately your guard goes up, not knowing what it is, and wanting to be prepared.

Yang: You all hear that, right?
