The voice enters through the headset, and it immediately reminds you of the AI in your own plane.
???: Hello, Specialist L/N, are you ready for take off?
Y/N: Who is this?
???: I am the onboard AI, you may call me AIFA. I am the second version produced after the success of the AI in the F4U Corsair AM2.
Y/N: So why do you share the same name?
AIFA: We share the same responsibilities, so it is only logical that we share the same name.
Y/N: But you also sound like a man. My AIFA has a woman's voice.
AIFA: Are we going to debate every part of what I am or do you want to get this bird in the air?
Y/N: Wow, you are a hell of a lot different from the other one. I don't think mine ever talked back to me.
AIFA: I was programmed to have more of a personality to try and better cooperate with the pilot. Now, are you ready to go or not?
Y/N: Yes, lets get going. Set a course for Argus.
AIFA: Done.
You increase the throttle and the plane starts to roll out of the hangar, increasing the throttle more and pulling back on the control stick, the plane lifts into the air and soars over the city. Following the flight path on the holographic display, you turn and direct the plane in the correct direction.
Y/N: This is going to be one hell of a long flight.
AIFA: Depends in relation to what base point. From Atlas to Menagerie? No, this would be a short flight. From Atlas Academy to the far northern hangars? Yes.
Y/N: You've got a point. Well lets see what this bird can do.
You push the throttle forward and the plane increases in speed quicker than everything else you've flown. You reach 1400 mph before you set it there and cruise till you get over Argus a couple hours later. You hear a second voice enter the headset.
???: This is Argus Military base flight control, state your name and business in our airspace.
Y/N: This is Specialist L/N, I am here on orders to reporter to base commander Cordovin from General Ironwood.
AMBFC: Acknowledged. Proceed to the airfield and land in the available space.
You start to descend and circle the base, looking at the landing pads and wondering whether the plane can even land in that.
Y/N: AIFA, can we even land in that space?
AIFA: I can give it my best shot, get us within two hundred feet of it and I'll take over.
Y/N: Got it.
You keep descending in a spiral pattern till you get to two hundred feet and AIFA takes over, successfully slowing enough where he can land the plane in the small area. Shutting down the plane, you hop out with your duffel bag and see two odd looking guards and a very short woman walking up to you.
???: What does the General want now?
Looking down at the woman, you see how short she actually is.
Y/N: I've been assigned to this base for three months. I was informed to speak to the base commander about what exactly I will be doing.
???: Well you're speaking to her. My name is Cordovin, you will call me Cordovin and nothing else. Got it?
Y/N: Yes ma'am.
