"At last! We're at Dolle Harbor." I sigh, stretching out from exhaustion. I walk towards Gon, who was talking with the captain. I heared him say, "Head towards that cedar tree at the mountain top."
"A shortcut, got it!" Gon exclaimed while I smiled. My smile quickly dropped to a serious expression.
'Someone's watching us, I can feel it, but who? There's too many people. I can't pinpoint where their location is with this huge crowd.' I thought.
I grabbed Gon's hand dragging him away from the captain. "Let's go Gon, we don't want to be late do we?" I questioned, but my true objective was to actually drag us away from the crowds to pinpoint who was watching us. Gon smiled at my hand in reply, "Mhm! Let's go to Kurapika and Leorio!" Exclaimed Gon.

"Huh..That's strange. According to the notice I received, the exam is supposedly being held somewhere in Zaban City. Right now we're here, but the tree is in the opposite direction." Leorio stated as he pointed towards the cedar tree on the map.
"True, but where in Zaban City?" I questioned, sweat-dropping. 'There it is again, that feeling that someone's watching us.' I glance around with caution, but there was no one to be seen. 'Perhaps I'm just overthinking too much?' I thought to myself biting my tongue out of frustration.
"Let's go Gon." I said, grabbing his wrist leading us towards the sight of the mountaintop. "Hey, HEY! You're serious? The bus to Zaban is about to leave!" Leorio whined. "It's a trick, could you not tell?" I questioned, trying to provoke Leorio.
A few seconds into walking i see a glimpse of blonde hair at the corner of my eyes. It was Kurapika walking beside me.

"I bet you 700,000 Jenny that Leorio is going to come back." I betted. Kurapika chuckles and looks at me, "Do you even have that money?" He asked, giggling.
"Not really.." i mumbled. "He's going to come back though! My gut feeling never lies. In 3..2..1!" I counted down in a monotone voice.
We then heard a male panting behind us, "Well, i knew you guys would be lonely without me. And its not fun traveling alone!" Leorio shouted. "Mhm sure.." i mumbled, silently chuckling at the sight of Leorio being flustered. I felt eyes on us once again. 'So I wasn't overthinking it? I better not let my guard down. Should i tell the others? No that'd make them worry. Ill plan this out myself.' I thought to myself.

We continued walking for about 30 more minutes or so, being surrounded by all these tall buildings. "This is a creepy place. Not even a single person." Leorio said.
A large brown door started opening with the silhouettes of about 10 figures. "What's with the freak show?" Leorio muttered.
"Exciting exciting," the old lady said. "Exciting exciting?" Leorio questioned. "EXCITING TWO-CHOICE QUIZ!!" The old lady shouted. The sudden raise in her voice made me flinch from the sudden change. We all looked at her like she was some unidentified creature.
"What the.." i mumbled, staring at her in bewilderment. "You kids are heading towards that tree correct? To reach that tree, you must past through this town. I will administer a single-question quiz. You have 5 seconds to state your answer. Give the wrong answer, then you're disqualified from taking the hunter exam this year." She stated. "I see, so this is part of the hunter exam." Kurapika sighed. "Yup." I agreed, reaching a lollipop from my bag and popping it into my mouth.

"Wait only one question?!" Leorio asked. "Hold on! All of us share one question? So if one of them answers incorrectly, I'm disqualified, too?" Leorio asked in panic. "What scares me is the high likelihood of the vice versa happening." Kurapika and I said in unison. "This way's easier, since only one of us needs to know the answer." Gon said, cheering positively. "Hey, there. Hurry it up, or else ill answer the question first." Said the boy. He had dark blue hair, droopy eyes, and a interesting outfit on? My eyes widened, "You! You were the one following us!" I shouted in reply. "What!? Who are you?" Asked Leorio.
"He's been following us ever since we got of the port." Gon stated. "Sorry kids, i happened to overhear your conversation." Said the blue hair boy.
"He seems eager to take it, we'll let him go first." Leorio said. "Well then, here is your question.  Evil villains have captured your mother and lover. You can only save one, who should you save?" The old lady asked.

We all looked at her in shock. "How is this even a quiz?!" Leorio asked. 'There's not even a right answer! Both of them are wrong.' I thought. "The answer is to save your mother. You can't replace your mother, but you can find another lover," Said the blue haired boy, smirking confidently. "You may pass." Eyed the old lady.
"You just have to tell the old lady what she wants to hear." "Hey ! That's bullshit. How was that the right answer? We're suposed to give the answer the old lady wants? And that's considered correct? Different people would expect different answers! There is no right answer!" Leorio complained. 'Exactly. There is no right answer since both of those answers are wrong. Any other answer would be deemed incorrect, so our only choice is to stay silent!' I thought, looking directly at Kurapika. He noticed my eyes and immediately knew what i meant by just the look in my eyes. Kurapika gasped, turning his head to Leorio. "I see." Mumbled Kurapika. "Leorio!-" Kurapika yelled, only to be cut off by the old lady. "Wait! Another word from you which is not the answer, then you're immediately disqualified. "Here is your question. Your son and daughter have been kidnapped. You can only save one. One for your son and two for your daughter, which one do you save?" Asked the old lady.

Leorio picked up a wooden plank as she counted down. Leorio then jumped at the old lady, ready to swing the plank at her. Kurapika blocked Leorio from attacking the old lady while i stood behind Leorio, pulling his suit backwards. "Dont stop me, Kurapika! Y/n!" He yelled. "Calm down Leorio! You're doing to ruin our correct answer!" Kurapika yelled. I let go of Leorio, rubbing my temples out of frustration. "We gave the right answer. Silence was the correct response. This quiz had no right answer. However, we could only state 1 or 2 as the answer. In other words, we weren't meant to respond at all, Leorio." Explained Kurapika. "Oh, but what about the other guy then? Didn't he pass? But he gave an answer?" Leorio asked. "She never said that it was the right path to the cedar tree. She just said 'you may pass.' That's it," I cutted in, placing a hand on Leorio's shoulder telling him to get away from Kurapika's face. I looked back at the old lady. "In other words, this path that he went though, was not the real path." Kurapika and I said in unison. "Precisely," the old woman replied, getting up from her seat. "The real path is over here." She opened two large brown doors, leading to the correct path. "It leads directly to the tree, walk two hours then you'll find a married couple as your navigators. They live in a cabin below the tree." Smiled the old lady. Leorio dropped the plank to the floor with an apologetic look on his face. He apologized to the old lady with a guilty tone. Gon sighed, "It's no use, I can't think of an answer." Leorio and Kurapika giggled, "The exam is over, Gon." Said Kurapika. "I know, but what if i do really run into a situation like that?
