"It's totally dark out..'walk two hours,' she said? It was two hours, two hours ago!" Leorio complained. We kept walking until we saw another, " beware of magical beasts" sign. "I'm hungry! I need to take a dump! I need to take a leak too!" shouted Leorio. "Leorio, quiet down! There's a lady present." Kurapika scolded. I look over in front of me with an annoyed face. "Oh, I see it!" I said, grabbing Gon's hand and Kurapika's hand. "Hurry it up, Leorio! We're gonna leave you behind!" I threatened, sticking my tongue out at Leorio. "You little.." he muttered.

Leorio and I knocked at the door hoping to receive a response. "No response, heh." I said, sweatdropping. "Are they out?" Gon assumed. "We're comin' in" Leorio said. A tragic scene occurred in front of us. A magical beast, kiriko, was holding a woman in it's hands. A man who appears to be injured layed there on the cold hard floor. "There's a woman in his arms!" Gon shouted. "And that man needs some medical attention also." Leorio gulped. "Kurapika, Gon, and I will go after the magical beast. Leorio, you take care of the man." I ordered in a monotone voice. Gon followed the Kiriko by his nose, following it's scent. I can tell since he wasn't looking directly at the Kiriko, more like looking up to the sky. He was trying to detect it's scent. While I followed it with my eyes. It's faint shadow was just enough for me to make out it's movements.

Gon leaped from tree to tree speaking to the Kiriko. "Kiriko, let the woman go!" Gon demanded. "If you can catch me, that is." the Kiriko teased. Surprised by it's response, Gon got distracted and fell of the trees. "Gon! Are you okay?" I asked frantically. "Yeah, I'm okay! Also, that beast can speak?" Asked Gon. "That magical beast, the Kiriko, uses human speech." Explained Kurapika. "Then that makes it more easier.." Gon smirked, jumping from tree to tree. He then sprinted to the Kiriko at tremendous speed, swinging his fishing rod at it's for head, causing it to drop the woman. "Y/N!" yelled Gon. "Gotcha!" I said in relief, catching the falling pink haired woman in my arms, bridal style. "Kurapika!" I yelled, tossing the woman in now, his arms. "Mhm." hummed Kurapika, understanding his role.

Gon continued to run after the Kiriko as I ran after Gon. 'For God's sake, he's so reckless I swear!' I thought, clicking my tongue out of exhaustion. I continued to track down Gon and the Kiriko. 'Damn it! I can't see a thing with all these trees, let alone it being pitch black.' I thought. 'Gon, please just be safe.' I prayed, continuing to look for Gon. I then see 2 silhouettes in front of the white glimmering moon. It was Gon and the gold-colored Kiriko. Except, something was wrong. It's sharp claws were out, ready to attack the small boy with spikey hair. "GON!" I yelled out, jumping in front of him with my arms wide. Sure I did have weapons in my bag but I was too focused on keeping Gon safe. That was my first priority at this moment. The Kiriko's sharp claws came as close to my face, touching the invisible hairs on my skin. Am I going to die here?

"Who are you?" Gon asked. 'Huh.' I thought, dumbfounded as can be. "You aren't the one I hit. Are you his friend?" Gon asked, confused. "How can you tell, boy?" asked the Kiriko. "Huh? I mean, your face is completely different. Your voice is a little higher and thinner." stated Gon. I looked at Gon with a surprised look on my face. 'Gon is really.. really amazing. Sure I do have superhuman abilities, but he's on a whole different level.' I thought, smiling at the thought that I might have made an amazing friend. The Kiriko starred laughing hysterically, "O-Oi, sweetheart! Come here! You won't believe this!"

"Hmm.. How many years has it been since someone was able to tell us apart?" asked the Kiriko. "You see, the one that Kurapika, Y/n and I ran after and beat up is the husband!" exclaimed Gon. "Which one?" Kurapika, Leorio and I said, sweatdropping. "Let us introduce ourselves, We're the navigators. Our family provides support for the Hunter exam. I'm their daughter! I'm their son!" raised the hands of both the man and the woman. "Wow, they had us bamboozled from the start." I mumbled, biting furiously on my 5th, half-eaten lollipop.

"Kurapika-dono, you successfully used the most vague of hints to your advantage, to determine that we weren't spouses. The hint was these tattoos which, in this region, mark a woman as single for life. Kurapika-dono demonstrated that he is very knowledgeable. Therefore he passes." congratulated the woman. I clapped in response, congratulating him along with the woman. "Leorio-dono, you never realized my true identity. However, you dressed my injuries faster and more thoroughly than any other doctor. Most importantly, you continued to reassure me that my wife was safe. Your kindness makes you worthy to take the Hunter exam. Thus, you pass. " explained the man. I clapped in response, congratulating the exhausted man on the ground.
"Gon-dono, your superhuman physical ability and powers of observation make you worthy to take the Hunter exam. You pass." said the Kiriko. "I did it!" exclaimed Gon, holding both of my hands and jumping up and down. I flush a bit at the sight of Gon holding my hands, but smile in response nodding my head.

"Lastly, Y/n-dono," the Kiriko said. I looked over to the Kiriko with a serious expression, ready for my feedback. "As soon as you saw the situation, you quickly addressed the roles for your friends, acting as the leader. You also chose the right people for the right role. You knew Leorio was strong in the medical area, so you left him with my son. You knew that there was something off about my daughter, so you left her with Kurapika, knowing that he was well educated. You then let Gon chase after me, knowing that he had the physical agility and a strong state of mind. Lastly, when I was going to attack Gon, you demonstrated the trusting bond between you and your friends, ready to risk your own life in return for their safety. Your quick on the uptake mindset and sacrifice for those around you makes you more than qualified to take the hunter exam. Therefore, you pass." explained the Kiriko. I let out a sigh of relief while the others continued to stare at me, amazed.

"Y/n, you managed to find that much about us during such little time?" asked Kurapika. "Leorio is always carrying and running around with his suitcase. The clanks and bumps I hear in his suitcase is similar to the sound of cloth, bandages, pills, medicines and scissors. When we first saw the Kiriko, he pulled out a knife similar to a medical knife. When he walked in and saw the the Kiriko, the woman, and the man, his first say on the situation was that the man on the ground needs medical care. As for you, Kurapika, the first time I saw you was when you were reading the books from the ship. It had some books about the region we were heading too, so it was obvious that you were educated and level-headed. Depending on each situation we went through, you were always calm and logical, therefore I left you with the woman since I knew you were intelligent. Lastly, as for Gon, when Gon jumped and leaped to rescue Katsuo, I noticed the spring of his legs and his body movements were different from ours. He has a flexible and durable body which allows him to adapt in any situation that has anything like jumping and running. On top of that, running for two hours straight to the cabin, I noticed that Gon has an incredible amount of stamina. His strong legs give him a boost. I can safely assume that he has been exposed to nature a lot because of his leaps and jumps. He probably learned it from a wild animal while it was hunting it's prey. I can also tell he's a nature kid because of the smell of plants and dirt on his green jacket. When he was helping others on the ship when they were seasick, he knew which herbs helped them feel better. Am I correct?" I asked, smiling sheepishly.

Everyone around me just stood there dumbfounded. "See I told you guys that she's weird." whispered Leorio. "Am not." I sighed, looking away. Everyone chuckled, laughing at us.
"We will now take you to the exam site." the Kiriko's said as we hung onto their feet. "Mom, Dad, Rina, I think I've made some good new friends.' I thought smiling.
