"One steak, done medium," Arya said to the waiter.

"One salad," Hunter grumbled.

"Do you like salad?" She asked, trying to make small talk.

"No," He answered blankly.

"Uh... okay," She said, a little awkward. "Tell me about your high school experience."

"It was fun," He looked down.

"Your friends?"

"I only had one,"

"Who was it?" She asked.

"Her name was... Harley," He answered, hesitating a bit.

"Is she... the one you want to be with?" Arya asked, her eyes darkening.

"Only," Hunter said, glancing away.

I don't want to be a homewrecker but you and me are... Arya shook her head. "Tell me about her, I'm curious."

"She's very kind. A bit stupid and loves to tease people," Hunter replied, starting to pay attention a little more. "She likes baking and completely adores kids, she's so stupid and smart at the same time. Always hiding for fun."

Hunter dreamily looked at the window outside the restaurant. "She's like an angel..."

My destiny says I will be with Hunter forever...

But why does it seem like we won't end up together...

I want my happy ending too.

"Our destiny has been determined. I'm sure there's a reason." Arya said.

"Would you like some flowers?" Hunter asked, picking up the bouquet of love-me-nots.

"H-huh?" Arya said, stuttering.

"I uhm, got them for Harley but she wasn't there..." He continued.

"Oh..." She mumbled, eyes darkening.

She then without thinking, grabbed the glass of water near her and poured it all over Hunter.

"You are my soulmate," Arya angrily said. "How can you give me the leftovers of your former lover? Be more respectful for a change. You've been so selfish and immature since we've met."

She's right... Hunter thought, feeling ashamed. I'm being a douchebag, this girl, Arya, doesn't deserve this. If I keep on denying this, she'll be lonely forever.

"Please... look at my side of things," She pleaded, desperate. "I know we haven't known each other for long but it doesn't matter."

She sighed, sitting back down. "What can I do? I don't want to force you or take anything that isn't mine. I didn't make this sign to separate you from her." She pointed at her moon symbol. "But you see this sign? No matter what, you can't defy the goddess."

"No. I don't want you to misunderstand," He got up, looking away. "I don't like leading people on, and I'm sorry if I acted like a butthole."

He wiped the water off with a tablecloth. "I didn't want to make you think you have a chance. I don't want to play with someone's feelings, even if we have this sign. You don't understand, if I can't have this person, I won't have anyone."

Hunter slowly walked, wet bouquet in hand, looking down. He then bumped into someone.

"Sorry! I-" He looked up and saw a familiar face. "Harley... Haven't seen you for a long time."

"Why are you all drenched?!" Harley exclaimed, worried. "Who did this to you?!"

"I deserved it," He answered and handed her the wet love-me-nots. "I bought these flowers for you."

"I can't, Hunter..." She looked down.

"I heard you did that soulmate procedure," Hunter said. "Did you get what you were looking for?"

"Yeah," She lied.

"I-Is he a good guy?" Hunter asked, looking away.

I-I can't tell him, it'll just cause more chaos with him and his soulmate...

She smiled a small smile. I know how stubborn you are.

"Yes, I found him," She lied and managed a convincing smile. "He's an amazing person, and we match perfectly!"

"That's n-nice to hear," He said, his expression faltering.

"What about your soulmate?"

"I found her, she's very persistent," Hunter answered.

"Like someone, I know," She smiled.

Hunter reached his hand to her and they both got struck by a burst of lighting.

"Ouch!" They cried.

"Are you alright, Harley?" Hunter asked. "I'm so sorry!"

"It's alright..." She backed away a few steps. "Just stay there, any closer and the pain will hit us again."

He gritted his teeth. "I hate this! I can't even get close to you!"

"Yes, you can, after you lose feelings for me," Harley said.

"It's not that easy!" He cried and positioned himself. "Same goes for you. We both need to lose feelings to not get struck by pain."

"When I see you move on, then I will," She answered with a sad smile.

Hunter winced. "I can't. I will always find my way back to you. No matter what happens."

"Please stop!" She cried, and Hunter was taken aback. "What can we do? We can't do anything! Some things just don't work out, and you can't keep holding on to it!"

They say if you love someone let them go, but I wasn't even given a choice. When you start liking your soulmate more and more. I will fade.

"I-It was supposed to be us against the world..." Hunter looked at her. "But why is it now me against you?"
