"Hmm...?" Hunter's mom mumbled, opening the door, a sleep mask on her head, and opening the door to see Harley, still in her dress from the shrine. "Harley! Why are you here so late?"

"Is Hunter awake?" Harley asked.

"He's asleep but I'll wake him up," Hunter's mom answered and went upstairs.

"Oh, there's no-"

"HUNTER!" Harley heard Hunter's mom shout. "SOMEONES AT THE DOOR!"

She heard stumbling footsteps and Hunter was there, rubbing his blue eyes. He saw Harley and his eyes lit up.

"I'll leave you guys be," Hunter's mom said and walked away, leaving them alone.

"Why are you awake so late?" Hunter grumbled, trying to fix his messy hair.

Harley weakly laughed. "I wanted to make this clear for you."

Hunter then stopped fixing his hair and looked up at her.

"I'm leaving. I'm going off," She confessed, looking away, not bearing to see Hunter's face. "So, this is my final goodbye."

Raindrops started slowly falling. It was raining.

"Please, stop," Hunter choked on his words.

"No, Hunter," She held back her tears, knowing this was very hard for him. "We've been going back and forth."

Harley tried to step closer but got shot by a burst of lighting. How ironic, given it was raining.

"Dang it..." Hunter muttered.

"I saw your soulmate, Hunter," Harley revealed, remembering Arya and her moon symbol. "She's perfect for you. She's persistent and patient, something you need."

"Harley," He tried to say but Harley cut him off.

"We need to grow up!" Harley shouted, trying to believe the words. "I don't want to see you in pain when you are with me!"

"I don't understand, you keep acting like you want this to end," Hunter looked at her eyes. "But your eyes say something different."

Harley stayed silent.

"I've still been hoping and waiting for us to work out," Hunter softly whispered. "I know I've been talking and pressuring you. But... You are so important to me."

He looked up, a mix of fear and sadness in his eyes. "Do you even want to be with me? I'll respect your decision, I never want to force you."

I should lie then he can leave. Harley thought.

"I...Well, I-"

"That's enough for me," Hunter interrupted.

"Everyone dies, Hunter," Harley answered. "You need to spend as much time as possible with your soulmate."

"That's right, everyone dies," Hunter said, slowly reaching his hand as far as he could without letting both of them get struck by lightning. "That's why I'm so persistent to be with you, Harley. I don't want to be stuck on "what ifs" and what could have been."

"There are no what-ifs," Harley had tears in her eyes. "Because there never was a chance for us in the first place."

"I just want you, that's all," Hunter said with a small smile. "All of your flaws, mistakes, smiles, jokes, kindness, everything. I just want you, and nobody else."

"Time will come when we all meet our destinies. It's divinity and nobody can change it unless you are ready to sacrifice everything," Harley mustered out.

"Then I'll sacrifice everything!" He cried.

"I don't want you to do that!" Harley shouted. "I can do everything besides take away your fated partner."

"W-we can twist fate!" He stammered.

Harley shook her head. "You need to think for others too Hunter. You are her soulmate and she is yours. I'm not a part of it. You can't just think for yourself in this situation."

"I don't want to make people misunderstand either!" Hunter exclaimed, angriness in his tone. "I don't want to lie to someone about my feelings, Harley! No matter what, I'll always choose you."

"I want you to feel happy with someone you love, Hunter," Harley sadly smiled, as the rain poured all over them. "I want you to experience the beautiful feelings with her. I want you to laugh so loud and never fight with your partner. But-" She paused for a moment. "That partner could never be me."

"I don't want it to be someone else," He said.

"Maybe the reason we can't move on is that we can't face reality. This is reality. You are holding onto our history together, the memories." She stopped, trying to wipe her tears away. "Memories are called memories for a reason, they're occurrences of the past, and the reason you can't let go is that you are treating them as occurrences of the future. Thinking maybe, there is a slight chance that they will happen again."

She sadly smiled. "But Hunter... They won't because they are just memories. You can't change destiny, no matter what. No matter where you are. You and this girl will always end up together. We both have to accept our fate."

"Did we grow apart?" Hunter looked at her as if she was a stranger. "Why are you so distant now?"

"We didn't grow apart. We just grew up."

"I don't want to grow up, I want this to last, even if I have to crush fate myself," He angrily said.

He then ran as fast as he could, away from Harley.

The last thing he heard was Harley shouting his name.
