Fish swept past Swiftfall's paw, as he tried to spear one with his claws. He was sitting by the river near camp, trying to hunt, but his mind was full of thoughts, as usual. Ever since that twoleg took his kits away, along with his mate, his mind has been full of thoughts. Where are my kits? Will I ever see them again? His memory was fuzzy, besides one thing. He remembers the one kit, with the black fur. All the others had white fur with spots or stripes. He remembered her name. Star, I felt like you would be the one, who would return to me, after you were taken. Will you ever come? StarClan, please bring her to me.

It was only four moons since he had seen them get taken. He let out a yowl of grief, and the dawn patrol glanced his way as they headed to the WindClan border. Swiftfall was the clan deputy, and many cats questioned his grief. I will never let them know about Rose and my four kits. They had five kits, but one died when the twoleg took it to early. The braken rustled as Rosemoon stepped out of it. She was the clan's second medicine cat. Her mentor, Eaglesnow, was gathering herbs at the ShadowClan border.

Rosemoon dipped her head to Swiftfall and walked over to him. "What's wrong. You seem sad, and full of grief." She said, with her tribe accent. She was a kit from the tribe, who had gotten caught by a hawk, and that hawk had dropped her near the lake. She had almost died, but Eaglesnow helped her survive, and she took clan life like she was born in a clan.

  "Nothing..." mewed Swiftfall.

"I know something is on your mind. You are grieving, now tell me what's wrong. I won't tell a single soul." She mewed.

"Well..." replied Swiftfall, fear clawing at his belly for her response. "I have kits-" he started, but she interrupted him.

  "Really? What's there names? Who's-"

"THEY ARE GONE AND ITS ALL MY FAULT!" He wailed. Silence greeted his words.

After a moment Rosemoon replied. "What happened?" He decided to tell her everything, since they were as close as siblings.

"My mate was a kittypet but the twoleg took the kits, and I could have stopped him, but I wasn't fast enough..." he replied, tears welling up in his eyes.

"It's not your fault, its that twoleg's fault." She mewed.

Swiftfall closed his eyes, feeling tears roll down his cheeks. Then he lay down, and watch the water, and the fish that swim along with its waves.

One day, I will reunite with my daughter, and we will rescue Rose together.
