Star felt the wind in her fur, so she sat atop a hill and gazed down at the fields. "I feel free!" Star yowled out as if the stars could hear her. "I feel like my dad was said to be," she said quietly.

"Well, I suppose we have time for stories now," mewed Scar. Star jumped, remembering her new friend. "Well, I'll tell you about my my metal paw, and you can tell me about your dad." He offered, an unreadable expression on his face.

"Well, your in for a long story." Replied Star.

"I'm up for it," he mewed back.

"The wind howled as a wild cat stalked the ally ways. He was from the clans, he was a half-clan cat. Mixed between RiverClan and WindClan. His name was Swiftfall. He was living in RiverClan, and had decided to explore a twoleg place. He walked up to a garden, and jumped over the fence. He padded under a rose bush, and stayed there till sunhigh.

In the morning, a friendly kittypet was laying in the moonlit in the grass. It's house-folk just closing the door after going back inside. The she-cat rolled in the lawn, looking full after her supper. The tom got up, and hit his head on a branch. The she-cat got up, looking startled, and stared at the bush. Swiftfall stepped out of cover and dipped his head to her.

  "Lovely morning kitty," he mewed.

"Yes it is," she replied, as she sat down again.

"Are you not afraid of me?" Asked Swiftfall. Most kittypets were scared of wild cats.

"No, no. Many wild cats come near my garden." She mewed. Swiftfall padded over to her.  He sniffed her and she flinched.

"I'm not going to hurt a pretty cat like you," he said, and she blushed. "I'm Swiftfall, what's your name?" He asked, sitting next to her.

"I'm called Rose." She replied. "You must be a clan cat."

"Yep. I'm from RiverClan." He told her, and he showed her his paw. He had webbed feet, like most RiverClan warriors. He lay down, his paws tucked beneath him.

"What brings you here?" mewed Rose.

"I'm just bored of all the haters of my half-clan life." He replied. "My parents are from different clans. My mom is from WindClan, my dad is from RiverClan."

"That must be hard," she mewed, and settled down next to him.

After that, they met at midnight, every night, until Rose had kits. She wanted to go to RiverClan with Swiftfall, but the twoleg shut her in. The twoleg took her kits away, and put them in different homes. Little did the mouse-brained twoleg know that he was basically killing me by spending me to an abusive house-folk." Star finished her story and lay down in the tall grass. Scar stay silent. The look in his face looked like he was evaluating her words. Finally, he spoke,

"That's sad." He said only two words. Those two words stuck in Star's mind, for a long lifetime to come.

Or, more than one lifetime...
