Scarlett Adams
Liam and I ended up at his apartment. Jay left with someone. So it was just us.
"I want to make this work." He said as we sat next to each other on his sectional.
"I don't like the way you treated me." I blurted.
He nodded. "And if this going to work, Liam. You need to knock it off. I can support myself financially so I don't need your help. I've been racking my brain to find the best way to tell you about the apartment. Because I knew you'd overreact."
"I know. And I apologize for everything I said to you, I was hurt and-"
"I wasn't done." I interrupted. "I am a runner. I have ran from everything that went bump in the middle of the night and I know that it is very unsettling to have a girlfriend who does that but-" I scooted closer to him, "I won't run from you."
He made a small smile, "I have a feeling we are about to have some super hot makeup sex."
I leaned closer so our lips were an inch away, "I think I have the same feeling."
He leaned forward and our lips touched, a ringtone shrieked. Causing us to stop.
"Liam." He said breathlessly into his phone. "Yes, God, Jay. You are such a pain in the ass."
Jay mumbled something, "No, I didn't tell her."
I shot him a look, "Well you might as well come in. She's staring at me like I'm crazy."
The door opened, "Well, I hate to interrupt but-" Someone pushed past Jay.
"Scarlett!" Tracey ran over and hugged me. My eyes widened, "Oh my god. What are you doing here?"
She pulled back, "I can't see my best friend?"
I smiled, "No, you can but it would have been nice to know you were here?" I looked at Liam and Jay.
"I told them to keep it a surprise. Wait one second." She disappeared into my room.
"So, I take it you two made up? I mean, you really were going to make up. Liam's hair is messy, clothes are wrinkled. Something was about to go down." Jay winked. Liam elbowed him, "Do you ever stop talking?"
"Worst timing." I muttered.
Tracey came back and handed me a black velvet box. I eyed her. "Open it."
I took it and opened it. There was a pink ring pop candy. Above that was a note taped to the top.
I opened it,
It's my turn to pop the question. Will you be my bridesmaid/ maid of honor?
I looked up at her, she held up her left finger. "Surprise! I'm getting married!"
Niall Horan
"Playing in the big game this weekend, aye?" Zayn said as we took a lap around the field.
"Yeah, I thought it would be fun." I said.
"Fun kicking Liam's ass in the game? Oh don't play stupid, Niall. You and I both know that prissy rich boy is going to be playing."
"Yeah okay. But I do love games, mate."
"I know. So how's holly and the baby?"
"She's fucking huge man. She keeps shoving these adoption papers at me. Trying to convince me." I rolled my eyes.
"Well she is what six months along?" I nodded. "Have you?"
"Have I what?" I huffed.
"Thought about adoption. I mean, Niall, this isn't very practical for you. You are still chasing a girl that got you fired and deported."
I stopped and bent over, trying to catch my breath. "I know. I have thought about it. But, Zayn, I don't want to give up on her." Holly and I found out two days ago we were to have a baby girl.
"You name her. I don't want any part of this. I'm just carrying her." Holly looked away.
"I know. You'll be a great dad. But find out if you want Scarlett or not."
"Oh I will." I took off again. The finish line almost in sight.
Sorry for the shitty update! I have been crazy busy. And I don't know how to write. Ugh.
