Scarlett Adams
"I-I," I stuttered as I tried to gather my words. I sat my cup on the table.
"Scarlett Rose!" I clamped my hand over his mouth. "Liam is sleeping."
Jay muffled some words under my hand. "What?" I asked.
He rolled his eyes. "Oh right." I removed my hand.
"I said, well if I would have had great sex then I would be asleep too." I gaped at him. "Oh don't even, Adams. I can see the hickeys on your neck and you're walking funny."
My mouth fell open, did he really just say that. "I-I."
"Look, I know-"
"Oh god. Can I please go to sleep." I begged.
"Sure. But I hope you know something." "What?"
"You can't go back now. He loves you and I swear to God, Scarlett, if you hurt him in anyway, I'll-" "you'll what?" I asked.
"I don't know yet. But I do know is that Liam is my family and family looks out for each other. I hope you'll understand. Don't take a step back, and I mean it."
I nodded, "I don't intend too."
He handed me my cup, "Good. Now goodnight." I nodded. "Thanks Jay."
He shook his head, "No, don't thank me yet." And then he walked to his room. What did he mean by that?
I headed back to Liam's room where he laid, still asleep.
I smiled as I sat the cup down on the nightstand, I looked over at him. His dark hair was getting long, long enough to hang in his eyes. I got on the bed, and moved my hand to push his back. "Don't." He muttered.
I didn't move, "I wasn't doing anything."
He fluttered his eyelashes open, "Sure you weren't. Who were you talking too?"
I sighed and looked over at him, "It was Jay."
Liam sat up and looked at me. His face twisted and he started laughing. "Oh Goodness!"
"Why are you laughing?" I covered my mouth with my hand, to muffle the giggles that were coming out.
"Haha, why are you?" He laughed, his laugh was so adorable.
"I shouldn't be but," I giggled.
"But what?" Liam grabbed the front of my shirt and pulled me onto his lap. I smiled, "I don't know. But what I do know is I am enjoying your company."
Liam looked at me, "It's so weird."
"what is?" I asked.
"I never thought this would happen." "What would?" I asked.
"Me being with you. I don't know how long I have dreamed about this day." He kissed my cheek. "You are so full of it." I smiled and climbed off of his lap.
"Where are you doing today?" He asked.
"Well, I have a hair appointment today but after I am totally free." I smiled.
"I guess I could go to the office and get things ready for Monday." He pouted.
"Good." I smiled, "Glad you can keep yourself busy. Now if you'll excuse me, I must go get ready."

"Thanks for scheduling this. I really needed it." I smiled at Quincy as we made our way to her salon.
"No problem. Sheri is the very best." She held the door open for me as we arrived at the salon.
"Hiya! I'm Donnie. You are?"
"Scarlett-"
"Sheri is sneaking us in." Quincy said.
That made Donnie smile, "Just like how you sneak guys in?"
"Oh suck a knob, you bastard." That made him smile even more. "Oh I will." ]
Before Quincy could respond a tall, brunette woman walked over, "Don, quit pissing around. Go sweep." Donnie smirked and walked off, he was wearing way to tight of pants. If you stuck a quarter in his back pocket, you could tell if it was heads or tails.
"Sorry about that loves. How are you today, Quince?"
"I'm good Sheri, this is my friend, Scarlett Adams." Sheri looked at me and smiled, "It is a pleasure to meet you. Now come. Let's see what we can do for you today."
Quincy and I followed her to a chair. "Sit please." I did.
"What are we doing today?" She asked as she organized her scissors.
"Uh, I think I want a change." I said.
"A change?" She echoed. I nodded.
"I think I know what we could do. Now tell me hun, how great of a change."
"I want to cut my hair." I said. "Oh, I see. Are you sure?" She asked.
"Scar," Quincy put a hand on my shoulder, "Once you do this,it id hard to go back."
"I know but I want this." I smiled. "Then, let's do it." Sheri smiled.
Quincy backed away, Sheri began putting my hair in multiple low ponytails.
I took a deep breath, I always wanted my hair to be short but I was always afraid to do it. But hey I'm in London, never thought I'd ever be here. So why not shake things up?
Once Sheri had finished gathering my hair she grabbed a pair of scissors, "Ready?"
I nodded. I watched her through the mirror as the blade moved closer to my hair. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes, snip. I opened my eyes, dangling in front of me was one of my ponytails.
"Hold that please." Sheri said.
I nodded, Quincy stood in front of me, "I am cutting my hair."
"Yeah." She smiled. I laughed, "Ah, its happening." The scissors snipped again and then I was holding two ponies.
Tears of joy came to my eyes, I couldn't believe it. I was going through with it.
Ten minutes later, I held all four ponytails, Sheri had styled the short hair. My eyes were closed as she finished.
"Ready to look?" I nodded and opened my eyes and I smiled. I touched what once was my long hair, it was soft and new.
"Well?"
I looked at Sheri, "I love it!"
I walked through the apartment door an hour later. Quincy had to head home to go help paint her sister's room so I decided to go show Liam my new look.
"Liam?" I called as I shut the door. I walked into the kitchen, Jay's back was to me. He was cooking, "Liam ran to the office. Molly called for a last minute conference with Tokyo. So you are stuck with me."
"Oh I said." I slid onto one of the bar-stools.
"I made pancakes. Ones with chocolate chips in it. Want one?" His back still turned from me. "Sure why not?" I said.
He opened the cabinet and grabbed a plate, he turned to set the plate down. He froze as he took it all in. In a sheer second, the plate shattered as it made contact with the ground. I froze in place.
Jay pointed at my hair, "Bloody hell. What did you do?"
