Kol and Davina's POV:
Kol was content with his life at the moment. In his 1000 years of living he had never imagined falling in love, getting married and actually being happy about being a vampire. He was sure that he would have been doomed to a miserable and long life where there would be no one to be in his corner. But that all changed when he met Davina Claire. The feisty witch who never had a problem speaking her mind, who wasn't a damsel in distress or a lamb for slaughter. Who was a queen in her own right. His wife. He smiled at the thought.
As if his thoughts somehow manifested, Davina came walking down the stairs. Her hair was a mess and her eyes were dropping with exhaustion. She walked in and instantly took the mug off coffee in kol's hand, taking a large gulp and sighing in content. Only then did she lean forward and peck his lips, before she turned and sat on the hotel's couch.
"That's it, I would have thought you would miss me a little more than that," Kol said in a playful tone while his wife merely rolled her eyes at him.
"You were with Marcel and Rebekah for 2 days, honestly kol," she said, shooting him an exasperated look.
"Well clearly you don't love me as much as I thought you did, perhaps you were using me for my body all along," kol smirked, causing Davina to look up towards the ceiling as if to ask why the heavens were punishing her.
"How are they," Davina asked, ignoring all previous statements.
"Marcel was being a pain as usual and Rebekah was being irritating as usual, is there any more to say," kol said, pouring coffee into another cup purely for himself.
"Kol, we both know you enjoyed it there," Davina smiled, while kol shot her a look.
"I'm not confirming that," Kol said, shrugging his shoulders as Davina's smile widened at the statement.
"Your not denying it either," Davina quipped back, causing both of them to chuckle slightly. Davina then sighed in sadness instantly gaining kol's attention.
"Something the matter darling," he asked concerned, taking the seat across from her.
"It's just, ugh, it's just, I love you kol, I truly do and I love Europe but I miss New Orleans, I miss Rebekah and Marcel, josh and Aiden, Hayley and Hope, heck I even miss Klaus which is saying something, I just, I just miss home," Davina finished in a quiet voice causing kol to move from his seat in favour of sitting next to her.
"Why didn't you tell me," kol said with surprise, reaching his hand out to caress her cheek.
"I didn't want to disappoint you," Davina said so quiet that if he hadn't been a vampire he would have missed it. Kol sighed before he pecked her lips in assurance and rested his forehead against hers.
"Oh darling, you could never disappoint me, anywhere you wanted to go I would have taken you, england, Australia, South Africa, even New Orleans, if it was what you truly wanted. I love you Davina, and like I said, you could never disappoint me, the same way I could never disappoint you," Kol said, his brown eyes looking towards the green ones he loved with all his heart.
"You disappointed me last night when you forgot to do the dishes," Davina smirked, gaining back her normal fiery personality as kol instantly moved back.
"Bloody hell Davina you ruined the moment," kol said exasperated causing Davina to laugh. Kol just shook his head in amusement and smiled at the melodious tune. How did he get so lucky.
Unknown POV:
In an unfamiliar room, a woman lay kneeled in front of a coffee table that was holding an assortment of objects. It was obvious whoever this woman was, she was witch as she took out an old grimoire.
The woman looked at a certain page as her eyes seemed to scan over the objects in front of her as if she was checking off a mental checklist. After seemingly happy with everything, the woman placed her hands in front of her and chanted a spell under her breath. Her voice got louder and louder with each sentence, her face hidden by the darkness in the room. The only light came from 5 candles. 4 black candles each on one corner of a piece of parchment while the 5th, a blood red colour was in the middle. The woman placed 5 different vials of blood and trickled a different vial of a specific candle. The flames in each candle roared to live before going back to their originals height.
"It is done," the woman said, placing her hands down as she took a deep breath. Across the world, 5 people felt an odd sensation travel up their spines. Klaus, Katherine, kai, kol and Hope.
