“Thank you so much for shopping here, I’m sure these cookies will be as sweet as you” I told the old woman as I handed her some chocolate chip cookies

“Aw aren’t you a sweet young man” She smiled and walked out the door; I had a big grin while waving goodbye; Once she was gone I stopped smiling

“Ms. Simon, do we have any more sugar cookies?” I called to the back

“I’m baking some now” She called back

“Kay” I sighed

“God I want to smoke so badly” I muttered to myself and turned around and grabbed one of the two day old brownies and started eating them

I heard the doorbell ring, I swallowed quickly and turned around with a huge smile and my eyes shut to look kind and welcoming.

“Welcome to Sweet Treats, Where our treats are handmade with love; How can I help you” I said my introduction

“I’ll have whatever you ate to act like that” I heard Damien said, I opened my eyes and saw him holding a boxes of broken watches

“Oh you” I said wiping the smile off my face

“Hey, remember when Peck was bitching earlier about Rufus' new boyfriend?” Damien asked me as he sat his watches on the floor and holding his phone in front of me while lending against the counter

“Yeah?” I answered while eating another cookie

“Remember him?” Damien smiled and showed me a picture of Rufus and his boyfriend

“Oh shit” I gasped immediately recognizing him

“I know, Rufus banging that guy we went to school with; That really quite kid who was best friends with that one girl with the huge ass” Damien said moving his phone back to his pocket

“Yeah” I said looking at my feet

“What was her name? Because all I remember is her huge ass” Damien jokes

“I think it was Lidia”I answered

“She’s hot I wonder what happened to her” Damien smirked

“She had a baby” I reminded him

“So she still looks hot; Gonna fuck around and become her step daddy” Damien joked while looking at pictures of her on instagram

“Man you don’t even know where your daddy is” I joked

“Doing better than yours” He shot back

“Fuck you” I joked and punched his arm

“Okay I got to meet some guy, See you at home” Damien told me and walked out

When he was gone, I leaned against the counter and opened my phone and opened Rufus Instagram. My profile is completely blank because I never post anything interesting anyways.

I looked at the picture Mateo and Rufus took together, I zoomed in on Mateo's face and saw his cute smile and his eyes shut happily.

“Fuck” I muttered as my face heated up and I placed my hand over my mouth and looked away from the phone and turned it off

“He’s still so cute” I thought and put my phone on the counter

“Kendrick what are you doing?” Ms.Simon asked walking in with more cookies

“Nothing” I shook it off quickly

“Alright will come help me make more bread we have a big delivery” She told me and walked to the back

I put my phone in my pocket and walked to the back to help him bake.
