“God this day been so slow” Malcom whined

“You say that everyday" I told him as I made some random girl a really confusing coffee order

"Yeah, God a want a nap" Malcolm yawned

"And a bottle too baby?" Tagoe teased

"I will murder you in your sleep" Malcolm told him

I checked my phone and saw Mateo gets out of class soon, I smiled and looked at the back door

"Hey I'm hearing out early today" I told them while putting my apron on the hanger

"Why? I mean I don't care that you're leaving but why?" Tagoe asked

"I want to surprise him" I told them and walked out the back door

"Why are you walking out the back?" Malcolm asked

"His class is closer this way" I answered and ran out the alley to Mateo class building

"Okay they'll be out in 20 minutes, The second he comes out were jumping him" Peck told us

"One never says jump him, Ever again and second who's we? You can't even beat your own ass" Damien told him

I was looking at the window and saw Tagoe and Malcolm but didn't see Rufus, I hated the idea of him being in there with Aimee kissing her and telling her he was in love with her while Mateo was at school completely unaware.

He was such an amazing guy when we went to school together and I just knew he still was now.

"Ken?" Damien called my name making me jump and look at him

"You were staring into space, what's wrong with you?" Damien asked

"Sorry, um...I was" I said and saw Mateo walking out of school holding a bag

I gasped seeing him, I never thought I see him again and I felt as nervous as I did when we were kids

I watch me walk until he stopped to grab something from his backpack

This was my chance to do something

"I have to go do something real quick" I told them and started walking

"Do what?" Peck asked but I was already moving, As I got closer and closer I slowed down more and more until I was close enough for him to stop and look at me

"Hey" I greeted him with a slight pitch in my voice

"Oh hi...do you go to my class?" Mateo asked confused

"No I mean we use to, When we were in high school" I told him, God I sound crazy

"Oh cool, Hi, are you here now?" Marie asked looking for something in his bag

"No I'm here visiting...a friend, Do you want to head to the bench?" I suggested seeing him struggling

"Yeah" Mateo nodded and started taking stuff out of his bag

"So what do you do now?" Mateo asked me whole taking stuff out of his bag

"I actually work at a bakery now" I answered

"Oh that's cool" Mateo said and pulled out a folder

"I'm just looking for my phone, I always shove it deep in my bag I don't know why" He said and grabbed his phone

I helped him put his things back into his bag; When I saw a clear folder with an old note inside.

"Oh shit" I muttered which caught his attention

"What" he asked me

"You kept the note?" I asked in amazement
