Chapter 7 : What happened?

A few weeks had passed and Gina bonded with everyone in the club. Almost.
Ej got a little closer to Gina due to them being the leads on the the show. Ash on the other hand was pretty close to her, they immediately clicked when they met, though Ashlyn was a little shy and intimated by her at first. But she grew warm when Gina noticed her singing.

"Hey, ready to go to rehearsals?" Me and Ashlyn came to pick Gina up since her house is on the way. I blew the horn to let Gina know that we're here.

She came out after a few minutes.

"Hey Ej, hi Ash!" She said, getting inside the car.
"Looking good, G! Ash complimented her.

She was wearing a white shirt, grey trousers and white Puma shoes. She looked really good in them and shows how tall she really is. Plus, her perfume smells really good and she wore her curls pretty natural today.

Off we went to school to morning rehearsals. We usually do morning rehearsals for about an hour or two, for the singing part of the show, then spend mostly on the dance and other stuff during the afternoon and classes in between.

Rehearsals went by smoothly when I saw Ej storming out of the room. Not again? I thought.
I went and followed him, and saw that he went to the boys bathroom. A few minutes passed, I heard a loud thud on the wall. I assumed that he punched the wall. This guy has anger management issues, I said to myself.
I wasn't wrong, I mustered the strength to go inside since he seems to be the only one there. I found him by the sink, head down, breathing heavily. He seems to be furious. And, his knuckles was covered in blood, and bruised.

"Hey, what's wrong?" I asked, holding his bruised hands.
"Ricky, that's what's wrong." He said angrily. His olive green eyes were full of rage.
"Why? What happened?"
"He showed Nini a picture of the both of us while we were on the hall and I was helping you out."
"He told her that there was something going on between us and she believed him!!!"
"That son-of-a-...!!!" he said

"Hey, calm down." I said to him, caressing his back.

"Calm down?! How can I calm down when my ex thinks that you and I have something going on?! When she didn't even give me a chance to explain myself. You know what she told me, it doesn't even matter if Ricky showed her that photo or not, because she still loves Ricky! So what am I then?! A rebound? Just because things didn't work out with them?!!!! She just played with my feelings! I was ready to change because of her. I was. But this!?..."

He started tearing up, he was furious. I can see how hurt he was. Also, for a second there I was afraid of him. I didn't mind that I was afraid, I came up to him, and put my arms around his body and held him close and tight. He buried his face on the side of my neck and I can feel him sobbing. I ran my hands on his back to calm him down. As he eventually calmed down, I was about to let go but he held me close and whispered something in my ear.

"I'm sorry."

When we eventually ended that hug, he stared me right in the eyes. Those olive green eyes, that seems to look straight into my soul are so beautiful. He stared right at me, and I couldn't help but look at his eyes, then his lips. I wonder if he'd noticed.
I don't know what I was feeling right now, I know I wanted to kiss him but...my mind says otherwise. I barely know him.

A few excruciating minutes have passed, and the two of them were still staring at one another and neither wanted to make a move until Ej held Gina closer to him and caressed her face, she looked a little startled at how fast things were going, until their lips met and it was in this moment, that nothing else seem to be important but this.

They were so into it that Ej slowly directed the two of them by the sink and hoisted Gina up, not breaking the kiss. He began to caress her thigh and moved slowly to her waist and back, he can feel himself heat up and Gina knew that she is too.

She trailed kisses on the side of Ej's neck which made him moan, and turned him on and both of them were already panting with all of the things going on.

Before things got out of hand, Gina had to control herself and broke off the kiss. She put both of her hands on either side of Ej's face and gave him a sweet kiss on the lips, after that she looked at him straight in those olive green eyes and smiled saying "I hope you feel a little better now. Everything's going to be alright."

She got back down from the sink and gave Ej a hug one last time, to which Ej responded, "Yes, I feel a lot better now. Thank you, Gina."

They left the washroom quietly as if nothing happened and they seem to have like this quiet agreement that only the two of them understands. He was happy and she is too.
They went their separate ways even if Ej insisted that he take her home. She said she wanted some time to think, for things were happening too fast. She wanted some air to clear her head.

Note :
I have a lot of ideas in my head and just needed some time to put it into words and make a cohesive story for these two. They were such good and complex characters and I want to do them justice (Matt and Sofia and the characters they play are just loaded with chemistry).
