They were about to rehearse for the big musical number "Masquerade", everybody is at a high because it is only two weeks before opening night.
"Places everybody!" Carlos shouted "Places!"
"Okay, so there are two big numbers that we are preparing for for today. Number one is an ensemble, Masquerade and the next one is for the leads, Point of no return. So I need you guys to give this all you've got! Okay? Hands in!" Carlos and everybody were so full of energy.

The costumes were extravagant in nature, with the budget that they have, it's pretty impressive that the drama club came up with this type of 1880s period costume design to which they added a modern twist thanks to Kourtney's fashion creativity. She added some 2000s style with the costume and some thought it wouldn't work but it did. They also integrated some modern music into the show. Miss Jenn was ecstatic with how the Masquerade performance turned out.
"Bravo! Bravo! I am so proud of you guys! The precision in this number was outstanding! Now where is my Tony?!" Miss Jenn shouted which made the kids burst out in laughter.
"Now, onto the next one! Where's Gina and Ej?" Miss Jenn asked.

"Crap! I'm so nervous about this performance!" Gina and I haven't talked about what happened last week. We kinda have this silent agreement but I gotta admit, that that kiss was something. I guess it was to me. I don't know what she does to me but I feel disarmed whenever I'm around her. But, I gotta be careful with what I'm feeling, I have to be sure about it.
"Ej! Ej!" Carlos snapping his fingers in front of Ej
"What is wrong with you? You were staring at literally nothing for quite sometime" He said irritably.
"Sorry, I was trying to get into my character for this performance." I lied.
"Get your head in the performance then!" Carlos yelled
"Yeah, sorry about that." I said
Gina hasn't come out yet from wardrobe and I have been sweating bullets already. Get yourself together Ej, I thought. I composed myself and got into character, I was wearing my black tuxedo with a big cloak over it to hide that I am the Phantom to Gina's Christine.
And there she was, a beauty.
She was wearing a blush pink corset type of dress with a floral design that hugs her body tightly and was wearing her hair in a loose bun with a white and black tie holding it in place.
I was at a loss for words, she was stunning.

The music has started playing and the two of them were in their places and started it.
Everybody can feel the tension inside theater where they were rehearsing for this was an intense number, full of emotion...

Christine, that's all I ask of-
As they were singing this song, Ej and Gina were both thinking of what had happened the last week. They haven't talked that much either, they were quite avoiding one another the past week because of what happened. Neither one of them spoke to the other. As the song progresses, Gina placed her hand on her thigh and Ej did the same by putting his hand over hers and slowly made their way up to her side and then shoulder. She can feel Ej's breath down her neck and it sent shivers down her spine. His hand was now on her waist while the other hand was over her neck, afraid to touch her as his character. She quickly stood up, and Ej sat down, she held his hand and they slowly began to move sideways, guided his hand in this flow until they stopped right across his chest. She can feel Ej's chest and they were breathing a little heavily. The tension was filling the room and they feel it too, more than anybody else.

"I can't take this anymore." I muttered under my breath and stood up after that number, looked at Ej and went out the door. I can feel my heart racing after, his breath on my neck, his warm hands, his chest. I can't anymore. I don't know what this is. I don't know what is happening to us, or even if there is an us. I just know that we're friends, that's just it.
I don't know what I am feeling. Do I like him? Yes, as a friend
"Hey Gi!" Ashlyn called, "What happened? What happened between you and Ej?" She asked
"Hey Gi! Are you alright?" Seb asked, worried.
"Yeah, I'm okay, I just needed some air." I lied
"Okay, if you say so. But hey, if you're stressed out and needed a break, we're hanging out at my house later tonight. You should come!" She said.
"Yeah, sure!" I said
"Ooohhh I'm excited! I'll tell Carlos and everybody after rehearsal." Seb added
I heard Carlos ending up the rehearsal after I walked out much to my relief.
I was in the dressing room when I heard a knock, I went to the door and was met with a familiar set of eyes, Ej's.
"Hey."
"Hi, Gi. Can we talk?" He said.
