Gina and Ash went outside on the porch, to get some air.

"Hey, what's up with you? You seem bothered earlier today?" Ashlyn asked
"Oh that, that was nothing, I was just preoccupied with some things." Gina said.
"Are you sure? Cause it doesn't seem like it. Gi, you can tell me anything." She reassured her.
"Okay, if you insist." She said. "Ej and I made out last week." Closing my eyes, and nervous because he's Ashlyn's cousin. "And I don't know what is going on between us. He hasn't spoken to me and I haven't spoken to him recently. I don't know what to do. Honestly. And then we had that scene on stage and I just couldn't take it. So..." She concluded.

"Oookay, that was a lot." Ashlyn said
"The thing is, Ej's a good guy but he sometimes does things that he doesn't seem to think too much about. He can be pretty impulsive and has this tendency to shut off people when he's hurting. I guess he is just like you at this moment."

After the party, Ej came up and talked to me.

"Ash, I need to talk to you about something..."
"Is this about Gina?" I said
"Wa-wait...how did you?" Ej stuttering. He's cute when he does that and when his voice cracks

"She came up to me a while ago before everybody went home."
I told him
"What did she say? Is she like mad at me?" He asked
"Mad at you? But from what I gather with what we talked about...I suggest you talk to her about it."
"Well, I was about to talk to her while in the dressing room before you pushed me away mercilessly that I crashed on the floor and be like a real life Phantom." Ej said irritably making me laugh so hard.

"Oh yeah, that." I said, flicking my tongue and trying so hard not to laugh.
"Yeah, that." He replied.

After that talk with Ashlyn, I made up my mind to over at Gina's place, it was quite near so I just walked over there. Besides, she just went home about 15mins ago, and it's still a little early.
I walked up her front porch, her house was rustic but classy and it looks very homey and cozy. I rang up her doorbell and a few seconds later, she was already at the door. She was wearing a tank top and sweatpants, under her robe.

"Ej." She said smiling, damn that smile.
"Hey, Gi. Can we talk?" I asked
"Sure. Come on in." She directed me to their living room and got me some water.
"So, what brought you here?" She asked while handing over the water
"Can we talk about us?" I said nervously.
"Us? What about us?" She said, confused.
"Yeah, what happened last week at the boy's washroom, what happened at the rehearsals, at the party. Us." I said.

"Oh, I see. Well...." she took a long pause which made me worried...

"I don't know what to feel. Honestly. It's all just happening way too fast and I'm not used to it. I know that I always live on the go and always moving here and there but this is different. That night at the rooftop, I was worried because I heard someone scream and saw a shadow from up there. Then there you are, I didn't know it was you."

"If it wasn't me, would you do the same?" I asked

"Yes. Yes, I would." Gina said.

"Oh." I said with a hint of disappointment.

"But, I wouldn't have done the things I've done after that if it wasn't you." She said which made me smile a little.
"Really?" Smiling a little but not enough so she wouldn't notice.
"Yeah, I don't know. You were the first person out of everybody in East High to really lend out a hand. And getting to know you a little after that scuffle at the rooftop, then seeing you hurt about Nini. I don't know, I just seem to care about you, in more ways that I intended to and I couldn't help it. It's all new to me." Gina said, which made my heart melt a little.
"I don't know what is this with the both of us, or what this means" pointing at the two of us,  "but I just want you to know that I care about you, I like you, we're friends."

"Friends. Yeah." Again, I was a tad bit disappointed.

"I like you too, but, maybe I think you're right, I guess it's better this way, that we are friends. For now." I said to her, while the last two words, I mumbled under my breath. I wasn't ready to go into another relationship yet, besides, if this is going to be something, I want to do it right this time.
"Thank you, for caring. Whatever this is, we'll figure it out, right?" I asked, hopefully.
"Yeah, we will" she said.
"Just know that if you need anything, I'll always be here. Know that I also care about you. Okay?" I said, smiling
"Yeah." She said, smiling. It was beautiful.

"Well, I won't keep you, besides it's getting late and you need to rest too. Good night, Gi." I said.
"Good night, Ej." She replied.

Ej then went on to go home, walking while Gina closed the door behind her.
