Welcome to the second book of the "Setter Thing" tetralogy. I was gonna start this book after I've finished the first one, you know, like any other normal writer would. But I'm not one of them, so I'm just gonna have to adjust that one to this one instead, similar to how Spongebob made a circle from a portrait.
Listen. I just love Oikawa, okay? I'm not patient enough to finish a whole ass book just so I can finally write a story about the love of my life. I got the whole plot figured out already anyway. So I'd just need to execute it.
Believe it or not, I got the plot for this book figured out already since a long time ago. The only thing that kept me from publishing it was the fact that I still couldn't figure out a title for it. But, today, it felt as if experiencing an ✨ epiphany ✨ straight down from The Weeknd himself. I was listening to I Was Never There when I heard these lyrics:
and now I know what love is
and I know it ain't you for sure.
You'd rather something toxic,
so I'll poison myself again (again)
'til I feel nothing

Instantly, I was like: Oikawa. Because I've been wanting to write this sort of dynamic with him where he'd sort of abuse you but you'd go along with it anyway because you're so in love with him. I've always hated Oikawa fanfictions where the reader hates him, so. (Like, people who read Oikawa fanfictions are people who are obsessed with him. Why would they do him like that? 😭)
In this story, Oikawa's going to be very manipulative. But he won't cheat or anything (you might, however 🤪). He'd probably just try making you jealous sometimes. He's also going to be very obsessed with you to the point of it becoming a borderline mental illness. Fun, right?
Warning, though, I'm gonna make you a huge asshole at the beginning. But it's all just an act, so don't worry. I've also decided on the second male leads AKA the rejected love interests: Mad Dog, Hinata and, uh, Kise. . . I guess. Don't even ask. Let's just read it, LOL.
