A/N: Reasons Behind My Mary Sue Reader

I linked a friend of mine to my Wattpad books and he was wondering why my reader's so rich, beautiful, popular and good at volleyball.

I supposed there could be other readers who might have similar questions as well, so below are my answers in detail.

1. Why's she so beautiful?

I think everyone's beautiful in their own way, so I don't want the readers to feel ugly reading my books. Because they aren't.

I was, however, thinking about writing a (YNM) book where the reader's got this nasty birthmark on her face. I just haven't really gotten the motivation to write it yet.

I also don't believe any Haikyuu character would ever call anyone ugly. Like, maybe I'll make Tanaka think the reader isn't as pretty as Kiyoko but he won't think she's ugly.

No character would ever bodyshame anyone, enemies or not.

2. Why's she so popular?

This book is the sequel to my first book (which isn't completed because I stopped writing it to write this one first, LOL) titled "Popular", so that's why the reader's so popular.

Now, why did I pick that concept for my first book to begin with? Well, it's just because all of the characters I want to write books for are fucking popular goddamnit. 😭😭😭

I did say I was thinking about writing an Akaashi x Reader book, so he'll be an exception if I ever actually write it. But Atsumu, Oikawa and Kenma are all fucking famous and I don't want the reader to feel left out.

Like, imagine the boys greeting their fans and the reader's just next to them like 🧍. It just kinda hurts to think about being a commoner while dating a famous guy at the same time.

3. Why's she so good at volleyball?

I'm not originally a romance writer. I don't know how to write romance, lol. Sorry but I think romance books are boring. (I'm talking full on romance, though. Like, it's their main genre.)

I won't have fun writing a romance book, so I want the reader to be a volleyball player just so I'd have a reason to write sport sequences sometimes. I love writing action sequences.

I'm originally a T1 RP fighter, like, back in the RP days, RPFs were all I did. I'm not sure if you can see it but my descriptions are almost all time and space precise. They're very technical.

I use words like immediately, for a second, before, after, behind, front, next to, etc. a lot. It's because you need to be precise in RPFs, you guys 😭😭😭, otherwise the opponent would take advantage of the blank information.

TMI I guess but they'd, like, report it and the judge would allow them to fill in the blank information themselves however they want to do it. It was so annoying.

So I guess what I'm saying is I'm just used to writing action. I love writing action. I want to write action. Plus it also makes it easier for the reader to meet the characters.

4. Why's she so rich?

I put this question last because the answer's kinda absurd. She's rich because I want to live my dream, okay? 😭 I want to feel how it feels to be rich at least once, even if it's fictional. 😭

Stop judging a gal on her decisions. 😒 I know I could be trying to make money instead of writing Haikyuu fanfictions but I'm still young, so I still have time, okay?

I still have a decade until I hit 30, so I still have time. I want to enjoy my youth!!! Plus they say writing's equal to manifesting or whatever. Idk, I saw it on WitchTok.

There you go. All questions answered.
