[First Name] had never intended for this to happen, so how did it end up this way?
The last class of the day had just ended when the last bell finally rang and [First Name] was just about to pay the girls’ volleyball clubroom another visit when she heard an unfamiliar voice calling out her name — well, last name — on her way there.
Standing before her was a girl with olive-brown hair that reminded her of Ushiwaka’s and face she couldn’t see clearly, considering the girl had her head down towards her uniform’s pockets she was searching through until she finally pulled something out of one of them.
From her skirt’s left pocket she pulled out a folded paper she immediately unfolded and offered to [First Name] before making a bow until the top of her head was lined up with the paper she was holding in her extended arms.
“Please, join the girls’ volleyball club, [Last Name]-san.” She said.
“Mm. . .” [First Name] hummed as she pondered her answer.
The truth didn’t really matter. She wouldn’t be thinking like she was right now if it was the truth she wanted to tell. She already knew she wanted to join the girls’ volleyball club.
However, the girl seemed desperate enough to do anything she wanted and she, being the sly girl she was, knew better than to pass up this opportunity of a lifetime.
“What if I don’t wanna?” She smirked.
“I. . .” The girl stuttered.
What she did next was nothing [First Name] had anticipated.
Keeping her head at the same level the paper was, she got on one by one of her knees and pleaded with a shaky voice, “Please.”
This was nothing [First Name] had asked for and she didn’t know how to make her stop without sounding too nice or too mean about it. Maybe. . .
“What? You think I’d join just because you got on your knees to make me?” She snickered with an eyebrow raised, hoping for the girl to ask for something else she could do in return instead.
