Chapter twenty-one - I stayed there

Sugawara's POV:

"Soooo... tell me how the date went", I nearly choke on the water I'm drinking as oikawa's face contorts into a devilish grin, I regain my composure trying to ignore the obvious taunting eyes coming from the man in front of me. I shake my head at him, trying to dismiss him from teasing me any longer, however I seem to have failed already; "come on, spill the details, we're did you take him? Did you take him into the city? If so, where?", I blow upwards to move the stray Grey stands of hair blocking my vision, inwardly cursing myself for thinking of entertaining this man with any of the details from the previous day.

"No idea what your talking about oikawa, and if I did want to tell you about the date then I would have done so already, besides you haven't spilled your guts about your 'not date- date' with iwaizumi", good, that seemed to have shut him up for just a moment. It's extremely short lived. "It wasn't a date suga, no 'date' involves both participants crying about shared childhood trauma- so no it wasn't a 'date'".

He dramatically flaps his hands around accentuating his short story of his date-not date, in which he hasn't gave me much details of yet. Keyword 'yet'. "Be careful you nearly hit tobio then with all your dramatics", I shake my head at Oikawa who's face has turned both worried and confused, then turning around to be met with Tobios innocent looking expression.

He gets on to his knees to be level with tobio and places his hands on his shoulders, "are you okay? I didn't hit you did I?", I smile fondly at the site in front of me, moments like these make me realise how good oikawa actually is with children. Okay yes he's immature, petty, dramatically over-dramatic and overly stubborn at times, but he's a good person, always looking out for people in his own ways, making sure everyone has a good time no matter what the occasion.

"No", short and sweet is the reply we got from tobio, we both smile at him, "well then, you don't mind if I do this then", before tobio even had the chance to even think, oikawa picked him up and began ticking him with a mischievous tint in eyes. Loud and undisturbed giggles erupted from tobio who was currently being tipped back a forth by oikawa, while still being assaulted with oikawa's tickling.

A few of the other children look up at oikawa and laugh at his silly antics, but I find myself laughing along with the children also. "I'll save you tobi!", out of the corner of my eye I see a mop of ginger hair run towards oikawa's back and engulf him in a hug as big as his little arms could manage that is.

"What ever shall I do now?! Please have mercy on me oh great one!", oikawa says with dramatic flamboyancy while laying on the floor with a small shoyo and tobio laying on top of him; all due to shoyo pulling them all down with him. I roll my eyes at there playfulness knowing that after this them two are going to be bouncing off the walls until their parents come to collect them soon.

"Calm them down would you, iwaizumi is coming to pick up tobio soon, and I don't want him thinking we've given him sugar", I say while standing next to the door that leads to where the pre-schoolers hang their bags and rain coats so I'm ready to grab tobios things.

"Oh we wouldn't want that now would we tobio, how about this? You stay here and I'll go home instead sound like a good plan?", oikawa says to the two boys who are now standing above him with bright smiles on their faces, a smirk is plaguing oikawa's face as if he's taunting the boys, but they just play off his playful manner anyway, "nooo!", they both shout as they go to attack him in a absolute state of fits and giggles.

*ding dong*

"That'll be tobios dad, I'll go and get him as your... incapacitated at the moment", I mainly say to myself as oikawa is being hounded by a overly excited tobio and shoyo, great that means we have to deal with a extra hyper shoyo until four when sawamura comes to pick him up. Fantastic.
