"This is so boring," Jory mumbles. Ever since Kai and Klaus had taken up the lessons Jory and Giovonnie were taught, there was a consistent shortage of teachers. Especially considering Klaus refused to answer any of Pascal's questions, and Kai glared at him every time they had a class together.

Kai was with Pascal right now, while Florencio halfheartedly did an art class with Giovonnie. Which left Logan to attempt to teach Klaus, and Jory left with the ghosts. They had done their best to explain more about their abilities, and how being a ghost worked, but Jory couldn't stand to listen to it today.

"Well, maybe if you want to pass the time, you could try learning a language?" Seagull suggests. "I'm sure Logan would love to teach you!"

The ghosts and Jory all look over at Logan and Klaus with a wince. Klaus was going through his regular "Logan's trying to teach me" schtick by answering every question Logan asked with, "You tell me, kidnapper".

"I already know four." Jory shrugs, looking back at Seagull. "Somewhat five. Wouldn't kill me to ask Logan to teach me another one."

"Really?" Seagull looked impressed. "What are they? I was learning Japanese before I died, but...Well, I don't know much."

"English, French, Greek, and Yiddish." Jory lists. "And a little Hebrew, like the stuff I had to memorize for my bar mitzvah."

"That's cool, Jory!" Potter compliments. "I always wanted to learn Greek. My yiayia is full Greek so I thought it would be cool. May I suggest Latin as another language to learn?"

"Latin is super hard..." Jory frowns. "And I'm Greek, born there and everything. My family immigrated here when I was two. My theios convinced my dad."

"Oh wow, that's pretty cool Jo. I only really have English decedents and was born in NZ." Seagull adds.

"I went to New Zealand when I was seven!" Jory exclaims, lighting up. "I could have met you!"

"Probably not." Seagull laughs. "I'm older than I look. Well, not older but-You know what I mean. Where did you go?"

"Rotorua!" Jory smiles.

"Lucky, I don't think I've been there before. Have you been to the west coast?"

"No." Jory shakes his head. "We were supposed to go...Uhm...Last year..."

"Oh, that's okay, there's always the future to look forward to," Seagull says hopefully.

"I guess..." Jory sighs.

"ASL's also pretty fun." One of the newer ghosts, a girl named Strawberry offers. "I remember...I learned it for my friend. I still know most of the signs."

"I think Logan and Gio know sign language." Jory hums. "Or, at least, Gio did. Not so sure about now."

Klaus scowls, irritably adjusting the shock collar again. It sat uncomfortably on his neck no matter what he did, and it made him want to dig his nails into his palms.

"Alright, so, are you understanding about the way that the muscles and bones work together?" Logan asks. " I would understand if you were a little confused, this level of the course is mainly memorizat-"

"Are you kidding me?" Klaus deadpans. "If I wanted to take a damn anatomy class, I would go to my own damn college!"

"Klaus-" Logan looks on helplessly as Klaus stands and storms upstairs.

Frowning to himself, he grabs a small stack of papers he'd set to the side earlier. Grabbing a pen, he sets to work on those instead, not bothering to go after Klaus.
