CHAPTER 3: IT'S TIME

The test ended before the sun sets. Today's training was twice as difficult than we had daily. I grabbed the towel to cover my eyes. I'm exhausted. Today's training is tough. It's not like our ordinary old daily training, like it's said - it's a test. I believe that I gave it my best at this test. It's not that I want the reward. I'm a little curious about today's test and the reward. The 5 who got the highest results in the test will be rewarded. What kind of reward, exactly? Surely, somethings up and I don't like it. I want to know what Watson's planning... him? Giving us a reward? It's gotta be a joke. It's futile.

"Alright! Line up!.." says Smith in his deep voice. Smith is one of our professors in the lab and in our classes. "Six!.." he called my name and I stepped forward. "Five!.. Four, Eight..." the three also stepped forward. "And lastly... Nine.. that's all..." Smith said. Why was Nine called? She's not with us during the test. I only saw her in the washroom earlier. "See Mr. Watson at his office tonight. You'll claim your reward there. Dismissed!" He said and left.

We all head to the showers. I turn on the shower and set it on on hot water. Suspicion. I always feel it when it comes to Nine. Nine didn't took the exam. I never saw her throughout the test. When somethings going on Nine must know something. She's full of mysteries.

It's almost time Six... make sure youre ready.... again with those words. I'm quite puzzled by it. I kept thinking about it over and over and its getting me nowhere. Maybe it's better to not to think about it much.

I got dressed and headed to my cabin. I want to lie down on my bed and get some rest. While I was heading to my cabin professor Smith appeared in front of me.

"What?" I said.

"Mr. Watson's looking for you. the others are already in his office." He said.

"I'll come by later." I said. Before i could take a step he blocked my way and smiled.

"Now..." his expression changed his eyebrows furrowed. I had no choice but to go. I turn around and walked away from him and my cabin.

I'm in front of Mr. Watson's office. Before I could open the door, I hear Five raised her voice at the other side.

"Where's the reward Watson?"

"I will not give it to you until everyone's here." Watson said. He sounds irritated. I turned the knob and opened the door... Silence entered the room. Everyone stared at me...

"What?" I said. And closed the door. And I walk to the corner. I saw Nine crouching on the sofa besides Eight.

"youre late miss first." Five said with a grumpy tone. Five turned to face Watson. "..so Where's the reward?" She said with her arms are crossed.

"Just shut up for once... you're such a big mouth." Four said coldly. It looks like he's annoyed.

"Shut up.... well,?" Five said. She faced Watson with her eyebrow raised up.

"You're very eager today Five." Watson's looking at us one by one. He looks sincere. "I'm putting up a contest." Then smiled. A contest?

"That's our reward?" Eight asked. He looks confused. Not just him, Four also.

"The winner of this contest will wish anything whatever he or she desires and we will grant it." Watson said. The news surprised us. Anything that we want?

"Anything?" Four asked. Watson nods. I looked at the others. Everyones making an evilish grin on their faces. They seem to have their own desires already. But for me... nothing... there's nothing that I desire. Power, money, nor health. I don't want any of it.
