You would think being dominant meant I'd be nice to my submissives. Unfortunately, that could never actually happen. Being nice would mean that I'd have to express feelings. I can't allow myself to show weakness like that. It pained me to see Harry so scared of me. Maybe more than it should have.

"My Lord?"

I sighed. "We can resume this meeting another day."

The Death Eaters from my inner circle bowed and left. I leaned back in my chair and sighed. I was unable to focus on the task at hand. Harry and I were connected more than just as mates because he was the missing piece. My last surviving Horcrux.  I closed my eyes and attempted to reach Harry. His mind was closed off to me, but I could tell it wasn't exactly by choice.

"That little brat." I grumbled.

I left the study and made my way to Draco's room. It wasn't hard finding it since my urge to run to my mates grew stronger the closer I got. I opened the door only to find two black wings draped over the bed. "Had Draco always had those?" I shook the thought from my mind as I walked over to the bed.

Draco's head lifted off of the bed and he glared at me. Although I couldn't see it I could tell he was pulling Harry closer to him. Draco's wings even turned a strange shade of red. I rolled my eyes and then glared at Draco. My warning to him not to disobey me. His submission to me was met with some resistance, but he ultimately retracted his wings. He hadn't let go of Harry yet and it took me a minute to realise that Harry was the curled up ball of fuzz in front of him.

"Harry?"

No response.

"Harry."

The ball twitched but still ignored me.

"Harry!"

I was met with angry green eyes that was honestly a shock. Harry hissed and jumped off of the bed. Before I could do anything else he disappeared under the bed. I rolled my eyes and turned to Draco. Draco just shrugged at me.

"He's mad at me?" I asked.

"Yep."

"And scared of me?"

"Yep. But more mad than scared." Draco shrugged and then mumbled. "So am I honestly."

"Has he been like that since..."

Draco nodded before I even finished my question. I wasn't in the mood for games, but Draco had no reason to lie to me. Besides that, he was clearly upset about something other than my earlier reaction. I sighed and laid down next to Draco. I think it was out of instinct when he moved closer to me. He hesitated before curling up into my side and resting his head on my chest.

"He hasn't spoken to you either, huh?"

"Nope. How you found him is how he stayed since we left you." Draco sighed and attempted to bury his face in me.

I found it strange that he never once looked up into my eyes. It made me somewhat upset if I was honest. I wrapped my arm around Draco and he snuggled closer to my side. I felt his body relax a bit and he let out a soft sigh. His sudden calmness from me holding him made my heart skip a beat.

"Why were you upset with me?" I asked.

"It doesn't matter now." Draco hummed softly.

"I want to know why." I demanded.

"You used your power over us because you were angry. That's not right, and Harry hasn't said a word to me since." Draco's voice sounded broken almost. "I was basically left alone and it's not a very nice feeling. Especially when your mate is right next to you. Why did you have to be such an asshole?"
