The next day is a huge one to Hogwarts.
One of the most important ones. The day of the first Gryffindor versus Slytherin Quidditch Match for the year. Everyone had been excited for this day to come, for ages now.
Some students even started walking around with painted faces. Some in the green colours of the Slytherin house and some in the red ones of the Gryffindor.
As I pass the corridors, I already see plenty of eagerly excited students chatting and getting ready for the match.
Currently walking into direction of the great hall for breakfast, I look out, to even see gathered and all ready students standing in the courtyard, making bets and assumptions about the upcoming winner team.
The Quidditch Match is going to begin pretty soon. After breakfast actually.
Yet, students didn't only love the matches themselves about the Game days. They did love being free of every single class for an entire day as well. Quidditch's matches had all been the hugest of deals at Hogwarts.
It had been normal for this school to cancel everything just for a game whenever there was one. School lessons and any form of teaching, were not worth a talk. Everyone had known the professors were as excited as we were.
Draco and I hadn't talked since yesterday's events. We hadn't. He'd went straight to bed that evening , and when I was trying to go and look for him this morning, I hadn't found him. Not one hint. It didn't take a genius to figure, he would probably be here then. In the great hall.
I get into the hall... Huge green and red banners were hung into the centre of the room and I smile at the sight of our green Slytherin logo.
Directing my eyes away again, I let them wander around the hall. Then I spot Draco. Just not alone. Rather the opposite of alone.
Many other Slytherins are surrounding him. Talking and laughing. Draco clearly visible does not participate and does rather not give a damn about them. It must be around twenty of them.
I quickly rush into direction of him. Of course they are now attacking and firmly flooding him with questions. He is the captain of our Quidditch team and currently all alone. What would have been a better opportunity.
"Hey Draco!" I call. He finally looks up.
"Mind coming for a second? I have to talk to you about something really really important" I call, really quite overdramatic. The other Slytherins look at him expectant and relief writes itself onto Dracos face.
Without a word, he stands up and leaves the hall. I follow behind him.
"What is it?" He asks as we stop "What?"
"What is it you wanted to talk to me about?" He looks impatiently at me."Oh no" I huff.
"I was just trying to pull you away from them and out of all this attention, because I knew how much you hated it"I see how he understands what I mean. His arrogant self shakes it off.
"How would you know?" I scoff.
"Please, I know you better than you know yourself" He rolls his eyes at that.
"Was that everything now?"Is he being serious?
"What? Draco, is this about yesterday?"
I ask, looking him careful in the eyes "Because if it is, I don't really know what to say, I-""Sorry, perhaps?" He glares both, expectant and inpatient at me. I frown. Really?
"Sorry? Sorry for what? I didn't exactly do anything wrong?"
He takes a step back. Then another one.
"Fine, if you think so, then this conversation is over now" And so he leaves the castle, into direction of the courtyard and then probably the Quidditch cabinets..I keep standing here. Maybe I should have said sorry? But for what? I was just telling him about my thoughts yesterday? Have I messed up that badly? I was just telling him about what I thought and felt.
I recall the memories. I really was in the wrong, wasn't I? . Did he feel like I was blaming him? He did.
I rub my head in realisation.... I did mess it up..
