"I swear to god, if you sting the eye shadow one more time into my eye, Pansy..." I glare at her trough the mirror.

"What do you expect me to do, I'm not a fucking makeup artist." She dips the eye- shadow brush into the dark colour, lightly blows a bit of it away, and begins speckling it onto my lid.

"Why couldn't we just use the spell, anyway?" She mumbles.
"Perhaps because you forgot it?"
She shakes her head. "Oh right, there was something."

"Guys" Daphne calls from behind.
"How do you find my dress?" When I move to turn around, Pansy curses me off.
"Move one goddamn time again, and I'll fully ram the brush into your eye." I turn back around and look at Daphne trough the huge mirror.

A really light blue shorter dress she wears, her beautiful blonde short hair being tied back into a ponytail. She wears blue sparkling matching heels to her dress.

"God, Daphne. You look breath-taking."
Pansy lifts up her head too, watching from the same angle as I. "You look great Daph!"
"Thank you!" She exclaims. "What will you two be wearing?"

Pansy keeps her eyes fixed onto my face, concentrating and trying to put on the make up as clean as possible.
"I'm gonna wear a plain black dress. God, it's so beautiful, I can't wait for you to see it. I'm going to put it on, once I finish Evie's monster kind of eyelids." She jokes.

"Hey, leave my eyelids alone!"
She huffs  "Sorry, it's just so unbelievably frustrating, when doing make up for others!"

"I'm sorry for taking over your time, Pans"

"Yeah me too. I'm only doing this so you look like a princess when you marsh up to Draco and finally knock some sense into him." Daphne laughs.

"What are you going to wear, Evie?" She then asks and I see her smoothening down her dress. "My mum got me a dark blue dress, on the exact same day, I literally only told her there was going to be a Winterball.
I abandoned it into the darkest of corner in my closet. But it has to lay in there somewhere."

"Okay okay, I can't wait to see it."

When later on Pansy gets into her dress, she looks absolutely astonishing, with black heels and especially her dark painted eyes. My friends are beautiful. They'd always been.

As Pansy is about to bind her hair into an elegant low bun, she turns to me.

"When are you getting into your dress?"
"Oh, just trying to do it in the last possible minute. I hate how uncomfortable they feel."

Yet the truth is, I don't want the time to pass. I cannot face him. Not just yet.

"Alright, but we're leaving in twenty minutes. You haven't even done anything with your hair yet. Do you have any idea of what you'll do with them?"

I start pulling my hair out of the ponytail. "I was planning on leaving them open."

"Oh yes, it's gonna be so pretty." Pansy passes me the brush and so I run it trough a few knots, before finishing and looking into the mirror at my hair and make up combined look.
I wondered what the blue dress added would make it look like.

✧・゚: *✧・゚:*

"Evie, for gods sake! We only have 8 minutes left until it begins. Will you please just put on your dress?" Pansy speaks and I try to swallow down all of the angst and panic.

"Fine." I finally say. "Fine. I'll do it"
"Thank God" Daphne says.

I walk over to my closet, rummaging a while around, before finding the silk material. Getting out my white matte heels, I head towards the bathroom.
"I can't believe I'm doing this." I mumble one last time, get in and close the door behind me.

I put the blue straps onto my shoulders, bend the dress on me straight, and run my fingers over the soft silk material, the whole long dress consists off.

There is a split on the side of the dresses skirt, showing a bit of my left thigh.

Putting the heels on, I stare into the mirror.
I don't recognise myself.
But I do.
Just not this side of me. I feel confident, and it instantly takes a bit of my doubts. The majority of my doubts.

I run my fingers trough my hair. Wearing them naturally also gives me a feeling of comfort, and so I open the door and step out.

"Guys I don't even know how to walk in high shoes" I groan as I get into the dorm room again. Pansy and Daphne stare into the mirror, with their backs turned to me.

"Oh stop being so dramatic. They weren't even high." They turn around and unexpectedly grin at me. "Oh my god."
„Merlin, you look so gorgeous, it's gonna drive him crazy."
