Starla's Pov:

Pulling Clove into a warm embrace, I feel a tear drip down my face.

"Hey," Clove squeezes out hoarsely, and promptly slumps in my arms. I feel warm blood ooze onto my foot, and see tattered gauze along their side.  Clove is dead and it's all you fault. They drop to the floor, no longer supported. I stifle a gasp.

Master Wu scoops them up from the floor, and Grale stands next to me.

"It's okay," he comforts.

---

Wu's Pov:

Carrying Clove to their old cot, I sigh. Blood covers my hands and drips onto the floor. I set them down on their cot, and rummage through the cabinet for fresh gauze. Hearing Starla and Grale walk in, I turn.

"I... Hello, students."

"Hello, Sensei," they both reply sadly.

I try to think of something to say that may make them feel better, but nothing comes to mind. Finding a fresh gauze, I trot over to Clove. Unclipping the old cape, I notice Starla sniffling. Grale puts a comforting hand around her shoulder, and she leans into him.

I peel back back the crusted dressing and place the new one on the wound. I see a small twitch in Clove's expression, and they wake up.

---

Clove's Pov:

I open my eyes and see Wu peering at me. A sharp pain attacks my left side. I sit up, taking in my surroundings. My old room. Starla's face lights up when she sees me sit up.

Suddenly, I remember that Morro is still going to the Caves of Despair.

"Morro..." I say, making eye contact with Wu. His eyes show knowledge. I attempt to stand up out of my cot, but fail to do so. "He... the Caves of Despair."

Wu's eyes widen with realization. I attempt to stand again, this time successfully. Grabbing my musty cape from the floor, I strut out the door past Starla and Grale.

"Wait, Clove! Let us come with you, please," Grale cries, trailing behind me.

"No," I deny, knowing I must do this myself. Nevertheless, All three of them step out to the courtyard.

"We've been waiting for you here for years, Clove. And now, you're just leaving us!? It's not fair! We care about you. The Caves of Despair are unsafe, especially by yourself. But, If you really want to, go ahead, leave. Again. Leave us to fend for ourselves."

Shocked by Starla's words, I turn. I feel something snap inside me. The full moon towers above me.

"Really? Is that what you think? He left me to die, Starla. He left. Maybe you had a hard time, but trust me, mine was harder. And now, I need to go save him. I owe him. You don't. Maybe I die, but you can't. Please."

Starla steps back, disbelief showing on her face.

"You are not leaving. End of story," interjects Wu. He pulls out his katana.

"Fine then. We do this the hard way," I growl, summoning my cloud daggers. Wu gasps, stepping back. "That's right, I'm special too."

Grinning, I launch at Starla, who is standing in place, frozen. Grale pushes me away. Letting out a low grumble, I spring towards him. Suddenly, a mace made of corn appears in his hand. Steam fills the air. He steps towards me, and I spin into Airjitzu. The last thing I see before I race towards the Caves of Despair is Wu's face staring up at me, concerned.

oop- lmao i'm sorry about the corn I couldn't come up with anything else i'm sooooo sorry fr but um i hope you liked it? sooo have a good rest of ur day/night bai
