Lin's POV
We dance and dance when suddenly another note is slipped under the door.
"He's found us already!" Pippa says.
I walk to the door slowly and cautiously pick up the letter.
I'm scared to read it.
I slowly open it.
I want her.
I want it.
She's mine.
The child is mine.
Your life is mine if I don't get what I want from you.
Watch your back.
Anything I want can be mine.
Your world could be mine.
Your world will be mine.
I shriek in horror.
"I swear. I will camp at this door until we get another note. Then I will rip this door down and kill him," I whisper angrily.
Pippa runs up to me and grabs the letter.
She reads it.
She sinks to the floor and starts to cry. I slide down next to her and hold her in my arms.
"Shhhhh. We'll alert the police. It'll be ok. We'll sort this out. I'll keep you safe if it means I'm not. I love you," I say.
She calms a bit and we go snuggle on the couch and watch Disney movies with hot, buttery popcorn. Like the old times.
Although, we don't need the past.
