It was unfortunate, but, Rok Soo was unable to hear the full plan that Cale explained to him, due to an interruption from one of his slipping records.

"...Cough"

As per usual, he coughed softly as a bit of blood could be seen tainting the back of his hand that he used to cover his mouth.

Rok Soo then saw Cale grimacing at him once he's fully out of his daze.

"Yeah, I can see why nobody give a shit when you said that you're okay,"

Rok Soo nearly scoffed at that.

+

"...blood"

Paseton flinched as he watched the contrasting dark blood on that pale skin of the Hero.

"Did the young master really going around saying that he's fine like that?"

Witira can only shakes her head at this.

It seems like their initial guess was right.

No wonder the Heroes have been keeping quiet about this oblivious friend of theirs from the whole world this last two months.

+

"What? Are you pitying me now? Does that mean I can pull out from this plan of yours?"

Cale did not take offense from that and only stare back with an arched brow.

"No? I mean, You claimed that you're good. Why would I need to hear anybody else's opinion if you're that confident?"

Rok Soo, who just finished wiping his mouth clean with the handkerchief that Cale handed him, is now snickering lightly.

'I guess, they really do know me'

It was then that Rok Soo realized just how similar Cale and the Cale Henituse who swapped life with him. Then again, they're essentially one person.

"Just checking, tho. The Cintamani does work, right? You're not really in pain?"

'Yep. They're one and the same'

Rok Soo felt rather amused hearing this.

+

"Did he mean the stone that Dad made as a necklace, nya?"

On turned to her older family members when she heard Choi Han, who's carrying her youngest dongsaeng, humming in reply.

"It seems like it"

Now they were all suspecting that the said Cintamani is close to an item that their Cale get from a deal rather than just something he got for finishing those scenarios for free.

+

"No need to worry, I'm okay."

Rok Soo did not explain much but Cale can pick up one important fact, which is, the other is indeed alright, or at least good enough to finish this plan.

It'll be a lie to say that he's not in the slightest concerned, but he trusted Rok Soo's sense of judgment more than his own.

'This punk is even harder to kill than anything else I've ever met'

Many times Rok Soo has been standing at the death door and disrespectfully flipped off the God of Death himself-

Or at least, that's what Cale imagined when he shared the memories from First Cale right after he gotten his body control back.
