As Cale drew the blade, a stream of blood flowed from the White Star's collarbone.

Like a doll with a broken thread, White Star's body started to fall from such height they've been fighting at and crashed to the ground with a loud noise.

Crash!!!

Normally, a human would have their body all destroyed with a splat after falling for what seemed to be a couple of feet above the land.

However, White Star is not your average human.

And honestly, Cale simply doesn't want to risk it, hence why he immediately descended to where White Star's bloodied body could be found.

Kkiiii--- Kkiiii---

The sharp sound has made the White Star deaf.

No other sound could be heard, and it seemed that he's gradually drifting away.

"...No..!"

White Star realized instinctively that something major is happening to him, and it has nothing to do with his harsh free fall from a couple of feet away.

'I'm dying...!'

As mentioned before, White Star is not a stranger to death, hence why he could immediately tell that this death was different from the many deaths he had felt before.

The spirit of the God of Death that had stayed in his body disappeared.

The power of the curse that stayed on White Star's body even after endless reincarnation. The aura of the God of Death, which was the driving force for his reincarnation, the power of the god dispersed like smoke.

'This time, it should be permanent, right?'

Gashan clenched onto his staff as he gulped thickly while watching with full anticipation reflected in his blank eyes.

+

'Unbelievable.'

White Star's eyes fluttered.

'I can't be reincarnated anymore?'

'After so much trouble I've gone through and come this far!'

'But then I'm dying?'

Just like this.

This is how it ends?

White Star was not afraid of death. He was such a person.

However, White Star, who finally faced a complete death, stretched out his hand.

The hand that stretched out from the collapsing body was shaking.

A weak hand that barely stretched out as if trying to reach out to something.

Anything.

But the hand had no strength and soon plopped down pitifully.

"No... no no no..."

Crackle-

This sort of pain is new to him, but the dread that befalls him outweighs it.

This was the limit.

Cale looked down at the fallen White Star.

The motionless White Star, and Cale, was staring at each other.
