Page Three : Rory

Everything is so foggy and unclear...I can make out Papa's voice and...another voice...a voice that for some reason has my instincts going haywire...I can feel my body heating up and there's a sharp pain at the pit of my stomach...I'm afraid.

I can smell a soft scent of wet grass mixed with a heavy camp fire "P-Papa?...." I whine as I felt a pair of strong arms wrap around me...pulling me in...I can hear him growling at someone but my mind was to clouded to focus on who the other person was.

The other person had a warm cookie dough scent which immediately made me whine because I wanted to be surrounded in that scent...I knew It was impossible because I'm still young and this technically is my first heat so I still have so much to learn "Hitomi...please go wait in the living room...Rory's father will be back in any moment...I don't want for things to get out of hand..." I heard before releasing distress pheromones causing the other person to growl dangerously low "Hito...." I whined out before I heard something that made me shake...

I woke up to the feeling of being rocked back and forth slowly...the arms were gentle but firm "Hey sweetheart...how are you feeling?" Papa asked me as he removed some hair from in front of my eyes...I smiled weakly and nodded my head slowly.

Overall I was to weak to even talk or move anything "Just rest bud...we're right here...your little friend is in the living room...I'm gonna take him home and I'll pick up some take out on the way back" Dad said while standing against my bedroom door frame.

He walked over and kissed Papa first before running his finger through my hair "Make sure he takes a bath...It'll help him feel better" he said before leaving my room.

We heard him telling Hito to follow him before we heard the door shut "Honey...how do you feel? We thought we lost you" Papa asked again but I couldn't explain how I felt...It was undescribable.

I blinked a few times...trying to push back my tears before I was pulled into a warm hug "I do have something to tell you...something that will make you very excited" Papa smiled at me while rubbing my back "Your quirk...you finally got It" I manage to open my eyes just a bit while looking at him...shocked.

He explained what happened while I was 'Out of It' and how my hands began to heat up while he held me...he said Dad thought that my quirk was something like his (Explosion) but It's something totally different.

He said that a hot like substance began to melt from the palms of my hands "The man who helped birth me...my (Biological father's) quirk is fire breathing and his wife can float small objects to herself...I was born quirkless...I assume that your quirk is a mixture of theirs and your father's" he said while sitting with me in his arms.

I didn't know what to say...I mean gaining my quirk during my heat...It's completely unheard-of...when Dad came back home Papa and I was sitting in the kitchen...my body has slowly beginning to gain It's strength back "Hey Baby...I brought some Yakisoba..." Dad placed the bag with three containers down on the island before sitting beside me.

He rubbed his wrist against my glands before rubbing my back "How are you feeling Rory? I'm sure your Papa explained what happened yeah?" I nodded and sipped my ice water "I h-have a quirk now..." I answered before reaching for the food in front of me.

Sometime later on that day I found myself back in my room...Specifically inside of my nest...I checked the time on my wall clock "Five Forty-five pm...I wonder what Hito is doing...he's probably mad at me and doesn't want to see me anymore" I whimpered while allowing so many bad thoughts to jump around in my head.

I moved over to the left side of my bed were my laptop was plugged in charging...I opened It and typed in my password before clicking onto Messenger...I searched through my contacts and found his name...I didn't see the green light beside his username so I decided to leave Hitomi a quick message before flopping back on my bed.

I was startled when I heard a quiet 'Ding' noise...I looked at the screen "He's awake...should I call him? He probably doesn't want to talk to me..." I began to doubt everything before I heard a soft ringing noise coming from my screen...I clicked the green button to answer.

His hair was a bit damp and disheveled like he just had taken a shower "H-Hey Hito...I-umm..." I couldn't get a word out while being face to face with my best friend...well sort of face to face "H-how are you doin?...I-I know I must have scared you earlier...I was just..." He stammered and sighed angrily while running his fingers though his damp hair.

I smiled and shook my head "Don't apologize Hito...you did nothing wrong...I mean your an Alpha and I'm an omega so naturally your gonna wanna protect me...I understand" I explained in a small voice.

Our conversation went on for awhile until I began to yawn and my eyes began to lift over "It's late Rory...we should get some rest...how about I-" I cut him off before he could say let's hang up and talk tomorrow "Stay online with me...I'll feel better if I can see you" I said while yawning again.

He nodded before picking his laptop up and moving It to the side of his bed...he laid down in a way that was easy enough for me to see his face and his pillow...I smiled and did the same before saying goodnight.
