*Casey's POV*

"What crime did you commit this time?" Ms. Robinson asked Billie as we walked in and took our seats.

"Why does everyone think I would commit a crime?" She groaned sliding down her chair. "I told you to change, and because you're Billie." Zaidee answered her question.

"I didn't need an answer." Billie rubbed her face. The two girls next to me started a conversation while I just sat and watched both of them talk.

My eyes trailed to Billie's glossy plump lips, watching them move is doing something to me. Zaidee's black and red lips got me thinking of some stuff.

I need a monster. Shaking my head, to get rid of the thoughts, I stood up and went to the teachers mini fridge. Yeah I ask her to get me drinks sometimes.

Ms. Robinson watched my every move as I sat next to her drinking my beverage. We stayed in silence for a while. "Alright what's up?" She broke our silence.

"I caught my mom hitting my little sister yesterday because she couldn't fall asleep." I sighed taking another sip from my monster.

"All she needed to do was change her diaper." I scoffed out looking at the window across from me.

"Where is Natalia right now?" She asked, concerned. "She's with Zaidee's dad." I sat man spread and leaned my head back.

"You think if I beg, they'll let me bring her to school?" I tilted my head towards her. "Maybe, I can help you if that's what you want." She crossed her arms sitting back in her rollie chair.

I nodded my head a little. "It is, I just don't want her to be left alone with our mother." I said, just as the bell rang and students started coming in. "Come after school, we'll talk." She smiled warmly at me. "Thanks." I tried to not sound nonchalant, didn't work.

Without another word I walked back to my seat, changing my demeanor to a much more lighter one. Billie looked back and forth between the teacher and I.

"She's like an aunt to me." I helped her understand a little. She nodded, signaling she understood. With that I started 'paying attention' to the lesson.

"Dude dude dude." Dallas said excitedly as she came over and sat with us at lunch, Ap trailing behind her. "Miguel and Lex are back." She said.

"Where are they?" Zaidee asked bolting from her seat next to me. She looked around and finally spotted them walking into the cafeteria.

She screamed and ran over to them as fast as her platforms allowed her to. She's already tall she doesn't need them. They look good though so I'm gonna stop complaining.

We watched as Z almost trampled them when she went in for the hug. They stumbled back a bit but the smiles on their faces could not be wiped off.

They soon walked our way and sat down with us. Yes the tables are big enough, they remodeled the school a couple years ago.

I hugged Lex as she and her boyfriend went around greeting us. "I missed you." She said tightening her grip on me.

"I missed you too." I murmured into her neck. Lex and I are the closest in the friend group. We've known each other since we were in diapers. She's my sister. We soon pulled away and she introduced herself to Billie.
