after lots of secretive planning, it was finally the day of the christmas party. san had come over the night before, jongho sneakily giving the boy a spare key so that he could let himself in with the others. currently, he was waiting for yeosang to get out of therapy, praying that today's session wasn't too heavy for the boy.

jongho smiled and locked his phone the second he felt eyes on him, looking up to see yeosang walking towards him.

"hi, love..." jongho said softly, standing up and hugging the boy.

"mm..." yeosang mumbled, nuzzling close to the latter.

"ready to go?"

yeosang nodded, smiling weakly. jongho could tell immediately that it wasn't the best of sessions, but based on the boy's attempt at smiling, he knew it wasn't too bad.

the two boys walked down the street, hands locked, yeosang swinging their arms every now and then. a small smile appeared on jongho's lips whenever he did, eventually kissing the boy's forehead.

"hey, baby? can we go to the store and buy some gifts for the guys?" jongho asked softly.

"now?"

"is that okay?"

yeosang seemed confused, but nodded and followed jongho in the direction of the store. when they got there, jongho quickly pulled yeosang to get things that he thought fit each of their friends, quickly finding something for mingi, then yunho, and very soon after finding things for seonghwa and hongjoong as well. the real struggle was finding things for wooyoung and san, but yeosang was quick to come to jongho's aid in his search. once jongho was satisfied with the gifts they had chosen, the two continued home, jongho smiling brightly as they neared their apartment.
